so yeah, let me wait until they have sorted their shit out (and IIRC, Intel got hit by another bug recently as well)

2018-12-15 21:14:12 UTC

when I do it will be a cost / performance balance. I wont rule out AMD, but given my generally good experience with INTEL I'm likely to lean towards intel

You're going to pay a higher price for an inferior product that consumes more power from one of the most evil companys ever to have existed???

2018-12-15 21:15:24 UTC

AMD is better value for multithreaded tasks.. intel when raw IPC is required (at the moment) people who need workstations are going AMD while gamers are going Intel

I have a question for folks. Tim's latest video mentioning paywalls got me thinking. What news sources do you actually pay for - subscriptions or regular contributions? I'll start since I'm asking. The Economist, Foreign Affairs, WSJ, WaPo, The Oregonian, and TimCast.

2018-12-15 21:33:18 UTC

None

2018-12-15 21:33:54 UTC

I've only subscribed to indie creators, not legacy news sites.

2018-12-15 21:33:57 UTC

I used to pay for youtube red but no more

2018-12-15 21:34:24 UTC

@DrYuriMom None, why should I pay for things that make me sad?

2018-12-15 21:34:33 UTC
