Well, I saw them mostly outside the Chinatown Metro station. Go for it. They've been there for as long as I can remember, but I've never seen more than maybe a dozen at a time.

2019-01-22 02:47:28 UTC

I would but I'm in NYC

2019-01-22 02:47:35 UTC

Unless you're talking about Chinatown nyc

2019-01-22 02:48:05 UTC

No, Chinatown NYC is actually Chinatown. Chinatown in DC is basically DC with a slightly higher density of asian fusion restaurants

2019-01-22 02:48:28 UTC

Idk, I have friends around america who call their local chinatown "chinatown"

2019-01-22 02:48:36 UTC

but that's pretty cool to know

2019-01-22 02:48:46 UTC

If I can walk through a Chinatown and read every single sign it isn't Chinatown to me lol

2019-01-22 02:48:58 UTC

Like I said, I'm only familiar with NYC's Chinatown

2019-01-22 02:49:02 UTC

but yeah, I wish they'd come here

2019-01-22 02:49:28 UTC

every major city that has asians has a chinatown as all races congregate among themselves only because 'diversity is strength'

2019-01-22 02:49:46 UTC

there's, like, a China street in Las Vegas 😂 *but everyone calls it Chinatown

2019-01-22 02:49:47 UTC

cleveland and pittsburgh both do as well btw

2019-01-22 02:50:06 UTC

Well I guess that would explain why there's a city near Richmond called Goochland

2019-01-22 02:50:31 UTC

traveled a lot in my life and I'll state this outright. No matter what city, what state... races that aren't white stick to communities of themselves only

2019-01-22 02:50:47 UTC

everyone self segragates

2019-01-22 02:51:05 UTC

it's always been that way in every single country in the west

2019-01-22 02:51:13 UTC

I'll back that up and add that it happens in other countries too. Used to live in Europe, before it got bad, but even then there were parts of London where as a white guy I could tell I didn't belong

2019-01-22 02:51:14 UTC

yeah. . . it's common in all races, including white

2019-01-22 02:51:47 UTC

In NYC, you see parts of that

2019-01-22 02:52:06 UTC

Italian Neighborhoods, Asian neighborhoods, black neighborhoods

2019-01-22 02:52:14 UTC

but then you have melting pots like Bushwick

2019-01-22 02:52:33 UTC

or Williamsburg

2019-01-22 02:53:36 UTC

It's cool though, getting off at different train stops is like spawning in different levels of a video game.

2019-01-22 02:53:41 UTC

Every stop has its own thing going on

2019-01-22 02:54:02 UTC

You're tired of Italian food? Walk like two blocks and it's a whole different cuisine

2019-01-22 02:54:07 UTC

Literally

2019-01-22 02:54:07 UTC

@AHeroQuest that is the thing. No one wants to move to detroit or chicago... but those in chicago or detroit sure as hell want to spread to cities like pittsburgh and are openly invited here

2019-01-22 02:54:18 UTC

I passed out drunk on the train one time and woke up on a beach

2019-01-22 02:54:22 UTC

I was like wtf

2019-01-22 02:55:04 UTC

Considering who's running Detroit I don't blame them for wanting to GTFO

2019-01-22 02:55:17 UTC

Well Detroit's like discount nyc

2019-01-22 02:56:13 UTC

NYC is a used car dealer, Detroit is the guy that has his old beater on his lawn with the price scribbled in Sharpie on a piece of paper duct taped to the door

2019-01-22 02:56:14 UTC

detroit style pizza is almost as good as new york pizza

2019-01-22 02:56:48 UTC

Yeah, I'll go get some from Jets as soon as I'm reasonably sure I can get out of the city without a gut wound.

2019-01-22 02:56:48 UTC

Detroit pizza is practically pasta

2019-01-22 02:56:59 UTC

second best pizza style in the US

2019-01-22 02:57:11 UTC

After Colorado pizza, of course.

2019-01-22 02:57:13 UTC

chicago deep dish isn't pizza, it's a casserole

2019-01-22 02:57:22 UTC

a damn good one, at that

2019-01-22 02:57:54 UTC

want to know something strange... there is a guy from india near me that sells pizza made on naan bread and it's surprisingly good. A fusion of italian and indian

2019-01-22 02:58:08 UTC

sounds good to me
