Hah
you should have nuked them during the cold war
Cubans when exiled Cubans came with guns: “what are you doing?”
we were to busy fucking up the bay of pigs to do anything else
Cuba tried to invade us many times
@Strufa stay safe man
I think the CIA killed JFK to take heat off the bay of pigs
when it dint work they toke the communist and socialist party and indoctrinate them and teached them how to achieve power
Ummm nuking a civilian population because of the leadership of their country, especially in the case of oppressive dictatorships, is something that shouldn't be done in the vast majority of cases.
And to prove the Soviet Union was radicalizing americans like LHO
well it did cause Venezuela to fall into the far left idiology
if a country try to indoctrinate other then its a danger for the world
What about WW2?
What about world war 2?
Just because we could doesn’t mean we should have
the democrats (and hollywood) had openly communist parties since 1901 though. Not really a secret
Anyway im pretty sure im going to be fine, i survived most of the protest so i will probably survive this one too
I would be curious to know the effect of Hiroshima or Nagasaki weren’t mostly paper
The atomic bombs in ww2 literally saved far more lives than were lost. Additionally both targets were military targets.
Firebombs would have been more effective
Firebombing wouldn't have been a deterrent to further hostilities.
Hiroshima and Nagasaki were mostly paper and wood
@Strufa there was a study done a while back in what causes one to identify with liberal and what causes one to lean toward conservative values. In short they found out that fear and shortages causes one to lean toward conservative values, while abundant wealth and growing up never encountering true danger will make one lean more liberal
They would have been just as effective over a longer period of time
No, because it served as a warning to places that weren't paper and wood.
You don’t know the effectiveness of the a bomb in a place that is concrete and stone
@mikeflarkin exactly
@Strufa people that worry about themselves or people they care about or had to worry about getting resources would display conservative values. While those that had abundant resources and never had a reason to worry about themselves or those they care about went liberal
@Misomania Well pal there is a problem im liberal, center left actually
The Japanese had the German papers on Atomic weapons, they had an idea of the bomber group that would drop a bomb.
Yeah, because nobody else wanted to find out what would happen if we dropped it on them
The first Bomb was thought to be the only ones the Americans could make, and then the second one cause the Emporer to have a window to step in and say enough!
Thing about multiculturalism, is if you import people from ethnostates, they're gonna hold prejudices about the new culture they're forced into. They grew up understanding their own culture, and have a host of different worldviews and cognitive biases that will most likely cause issues with the society they end up getting imported into.
If we had used a firebomb then the response would have been "ok well our bunkers are concrete, what now"
@R9b1t you're not thinking logically
“You say you bombu me americuh? Ha, go aheadu.”
“Americuh stoppu.”
“YOU WANT MORE COINSLOT?!”
@Strufa that didn't dispute anything. You grew up in a time when wealth was abudant from the oil market right?
“NUH!”
