Udacity is great! There's also Codeacademy which teach you practically
so they do coding for way cheaper than westerners
personally didnt like frontend so i'm on c++
I'm gonna be a front-end developer probably. I enjoy that way more
js, python, java would be good ones i guess
sec
https://www.khanacademy.org/ is one i find useful
It's funny, I wanted to make games as a kid. I eventually gave up after learning how horrible the industry was
you can learn about pretty much any topic for free
@Abel just read the stories about TellTale games
games developers get shafted into 10, 12, 14, 16 hour days
Yeah, I read about that
no extra money for it either
I live about 10 minutes from Epic Games
It's a horrie industry. The only people having fun are the indie devs
know a few people who work on Fortnite
ermageeerd?! you live near epic games?
well telltale was indie
get me Tim Sweeneys autograph!!
what city is epic games based?
right outside Raleigh, NC
Fortnite, North Carolina
>vietnam time veteran
🤔
I used to live near Bethesda games
booooo
fallout 76 was a bust
boooooo!
and supposedly cdprojekt is the evil crunch company
afaik its 8h 5days a week ;p
all companies have the crunch times
dunno how it goes with deadlines ;p
Actually cdprojekt red probably are better
because of self publishing
Remember fallout new vegas was not a finished game
well the living costs/avg pay in poland is low too
Last February, I was at a LAN party that my friend hosts twice a year. One of the usual attendees is a UX guy for Fortnite, and this was during the crunch right before Season 3 of Fortnite, I think...he worked all week, then worked all day Saturday, got off at 2am Sunday, came over for about an hour just to see us, went home to take a short nap, and then went back to work all day Sunday
