It isn't that simple @Ranko as often we are seeing the people who push for this "Reach back justice" want to put people in double jeopardy to suit their own desires.

And in many cases the push to punish people for their past "Sins" are for things that were not sins nor crimes.

There's also the new practice of accusing people of extremely vague things from decades ago, knowing full well everyone will run with the accusation without even looking for evidence

and selectively choosing which accusations to ignore or champion
