No, they wouldn't. YOu seem to not understanding different usages or meaning, 1 is fine, but it's not the only meaning.

2019-02-09 19:15:53 UTC

No one is saying its the only meaning, but that doesn't mean the word means the same in all contexts

2019-02-09 19:16:00 UTC

like the word obtuse

2019-02-09 19:16:07 UTC

because i called you obtuse, doesn't mean i think you're an angle

2019-02-09 19:16:09 UTC

@Graylan | gray00 Not sure how that is relevant to cameras on posts when you leave your house but I will say as a programmer, I have no problem with DRM. I like being paid for the things I develop and am no fan of people who steal games and other software.

2019-02-09 19:16:16 UTC

God I hate college based tests

2019-02-09 19:16:19 UTC

oh, but the definition of obtuse is an angle.

2019-02-09 19:16:27 UTC

Like I understand most of it but I never have enough time

2019-02-09 19:16:33 UTC

oh, and, I do agree windows 10 is full of spyware, but so are some linux....

2019-02-09 19:16:42 UTC

Huh

2019-02-09 19:16:47 UTC

Ahh shiyet

2019-02-09 19:17:36 UTC

I didn’t even get anything out of getting windows 10, it just meant that I wouldn’t have to have that annoying startup screen that was in windows 8

2019-02-09 19:18:09 UTC

i'm still using 7 and xp, lol.

2019-02-09 19:18:39 UTC

@Paradox Sorry. I didn't mean to start that argument. This is why you don't have semantic debates. They hinge upon you denying what the other person tells you they think a word means. If you equate spying with surveillance then there is no argument.

2019-02-09 19:18:41 UTC

I like that it’s the newer form of the tabs I guess, but I’d rather have security over some cosmetic item

2019-02-09 19:19:11 UTC

Exactly. And in some cases they do mean the same, in other cases, they do not.

2019-02-09 19:19:46 UTC

@Paradox Yeah. But even if they don't. If YOU think they are synonymous it is pointless for me to argue that YOU don't.

2019-02-09 19:20:22 UTC

For the most part I do.

2019-02-09 19:20:43 UTC

I think the problem with DRM is that once the Right management is broken then you can't use the product you paid for. For example without cracking the game Age of Mythology won't without securerom which has been removed from Windows.

2019-02-09 19:21:03 UTC

That's the problem with semantic debates. You end up arguing over what everyone believes words mean rather than the actual issue being discussed.

2019-02-09 19:21:44 UTC

when there is a genuine misunderstanding of meaning, that's fine, but some ppl just don't like words used a way they don't like.

2019-02-09 19:22:10 UTC

ya know, like saying fags can get married.

2019-02-09 19:22:13 UTC

tim got so much stuff in that podcast.. theres like 20 videos about tim on JREclips 😛

2019-02-09 19:23:02 UTC

@Mr. Jesus Well that is part of the contract between buyer and seller. I have to provide a means for you to "validate" your copy if I am no longer going to provide that ability. This is something laws should provide for.

2019-02-09 19:23:20 UTC

@Timcast Some faggot been talking shit about you on a stream, saying you pay girls to go live with you and getting cucked

2019-02-09 19:23:41 UTC

They do it for automobile parts. If a car company goes out of business the specs and molds for replacement parts must be made available to the public so others can make the parts.

2019-02-09 19:24:23 UTC
2019-02-09 19:24:30 UTC

You do have escrow for bespoke stuff. I do think consumer rights is behind the curve on this.

2019-02-09 19:25:30 UTC

@Mr. Jesus Probably so. That's probably because you are purchasing a license to "use" the software rather than the actual software. But the principle is the same if you are no longer able to "use" it.

2019-02-09 19:31:21 UTC

copying isn't stealing, though.

2019-02-09 19:33:05 UTC

@CasualSailor that works out so well that you can't even enjoy the things you paid for with DRM...

2019-02-09 19:33:22 UTC

didn't you know you have to have API connection and when company goes bankrupt they no longer provide API?

2019-02-09 19:33:33 UTC

so what happens to DRM content when the company goes away... Well you dont OWN SHIT

2019-02-09 19:33:45 UTC

when the pirated versions are more functional than the legit versions....lol

2019-02-09 19:33:54 UTC

that's correct today @Paradox

2019-02-09 19:34:03 UTC

anno 2070 go try and play it with no API connection

2019-02-09 19:34:06 UTC

please. ill wait..

2019-02-09 19:34:16 UTC

Then play the pirated anno 2070. oh and you can pirate games if you own them.

2019-02-09 19:34:17 UTC

;D

2019-02-09 19:34:30 UTC

it's still legal grey area, the wont fight.

2019-02-09 19:34:33 UTC

I can pirate them even if I don't.
