I'm curious though, if it's something you agree with is it still being forced?

2019-02-10 01:34:18 UTC

@Graylan | gray00 It might fail. But nobody has implemented a better system anywhere else or at any other time in history. So, what are you suggesting?

2019-02-10 01:34:58 UTC

Our system is already built.

2019-02-10 01:35:17 UTC

It requires no third party in-between

2019-02-10 01:35:48 UTC

Unlike Fiat. Most fiat is digital and is manipulated. Ask Trump about China.

2019-02-10 01:36:28 UTC

So you realized USD was backed by gold right @CasualSailor?

2019-02-10 01:36:30 UTC

@Paradox If it is a tax then it is separating the citizen from his property by force. I'm against that except for the primary functions of government like national defense, police, courts, and some public works. I'm also ok with assessing taxes for those things where individuals cannot recover via the courts for the actions of others.

2019-02-10 01:37:06 UTC

So now it's worth less unbacked currency. The only reason it still has value is because the internet hasn't destroyed it yet.

2019-02-10 01:37:13 UTC

@Graylan | gray00 Yes. I'm fine with you wanting to complain about the current system. I'm just curious if you have a example of a better one?

2019-02-10 01:37:24 UTC

Soon as people find out it's worthless. It will tank.

2019-02-10 01:37:44 UTC

@CasualSailor steem is better. Also has democracy . True democracy in the block chain.

2019-02-10 01:37:53 UTC

We don't even have that in usa

2019-02-10 01:37:57 UTC

:)

2019-02-10 01:38:46 UTC

**pilferer#6570** just left the server.

2019-02-10 01:38:47 UTC

A tax isn't separating the citizen from his property by force. Threat of force, perhaps, but even then not in all cases. Take sales tax, who is forcing you to pay that tax? The government? The business?

2019-02-10 01:39:52 UTC

@CasualSailor every day I built the future.

2019-02-10 01:40:01 UTC

So yeah. I can complain about today's shit.

2019-02-10 01:40:11 UTC

Im building our replacement

2019-02-10 01:40:40 UTC

@Paradox Yes it is. All gov't is backed by force. That is why we have gov'ts. We provide them with the exclusive right to use force.

2019-02-10 01:40:58 UTC

Back by, but not always applied.

2019-02-10 01:41:08 UTC

but you evaded the question.

2019-02-10 01:41:18 UTC

Sales tax, who is forcing you to pay that?

2019-02-10 01:41:39 UTC

@CasualSailor the thing about the new system is you can't hide shit.

2019-02-10 01:41:45 UTC

@Paradox I never claimed it was. I said taxes gov't removing your property by force. Just like eminent domain is removing your real property by force.

2019-02-10 01:41:49 UTC

Corruption be damned..

2019-02-10 01:42:07 UTC

Never before in history do we have an immutable global database as a social network.

2019-02-10 01:42:13 UTC

Right, so I'm trying to determine what the force is that is being applied and by whom, in the question I am asking and you keep evading.

2019-02-10 01:42:30 UTC

So what are you building @CasualSailor ?

2019-02-10 01:43:06 UTC

Because, I disagree.

2019-02-10 01:43:07 UTC

@Graylan | gray00 Tell you what you do. You form a community, get it as smoothly as our current system using blockchain and crypto currency and I'll reconsider your proposal. Until then I'm going to have to stick with what I have despite its flaws.

2019-02-10 01:43:10 UTC

with that claim.

2019-02-10 01:43:54 UTC

@Paradox What will happen to you if you refuse to pay the income taxes you are assessed?

2019-02-10 01:44:04 UTC

@CasualSailor good luck with that. And we don't need you.. you can just lose all your life savings when the banks fail.

2019-02-10 01:44:06 UTC

Why do you keep evading my question?

2019-02-10 01:44:09 UTC

Your choice.

2019-02-10 01:44:20 UTC

Is my question answered by you asking a completely unrelated question?

2019-02-10 01:44:28 UTC

The great equalizer :D

2019-02-10 01:44:33 UTC

Income tax =/= sales tax, which is entirely why I said sales tax.

2019-02-10 01:44:47 UTC

because you said TAXes

2019-02-10 01:44:50 UTC

Not income tax
