I've had a used Iphone 6 for about a year and I've had no slowdown

the 4s was the last apple phone I had, when I went to uni I got myself a non-flagship samsung, had some teething pains but it's run smooth for the last year.

the best thing you can do for a phone battery is to not overcharge it, and to let it run all the way down and then full reacharge every 2 weeks or so
