Gameplay wise it was good to have multiple endings, you know for replay value, but from a lore standpoint they dug themselves in a shit hole

But the entire point of Skyrim is an in-depth intuitive story that still offers freedom and choice while still offering a coherent storyline. Mechanics need improvement but not really a draw back
