Hookworms start as eggs in feces. you step in it and they cling to your skin. they're small enough to push through your skin into your circulatory system. From there they enter the lungs, when you cough and swallow the phlegm they move into your stomach. They start their larval stage in the acid and develop into adults while clinging to your intestinal wall. Then you shit out the eggs. Fucking majestic.
