Isn't a large part of that 'atmospheric distortion' tidal phenomena?

@Lampz i have used your recommended method of measuring the curvature of the first photo taken from a high altitude and have found a curvature, what i did was i took a ruler, firstly tested if it was in fact straight enough to carry on the measurement by first holding it against straight items like the edge of my computer screen, and to no surprise it was straight, so then i carried on to measure said photo by getting the two ends of the ruler and making sure the ends were on the horizon, and i decided that if i couldnt see the planet through the ruler, as it was transparent, then the photo is in fact presenting a flat earth, but if i could see it through the ruler then it was showing a round earth, and sure enough the image was showing a round earth, and just to be sure i tried this method on the same photo uploaded by different people and got the same results

@baldmartinyt Just to make sure we are on the same page. Could you show me an example of what you invision a curved horizon to look like? Of course in your world view depending on the altitude you are more likely to see more or less. But it seems we have conflicting invisionments of what a curved horizon looks like.
