You are wrong

2020-01-18 00:46:45 UTC

Metaphysics is abstract

2020-01-18 00:46:49 UTC

yes

2020-01-18 00:46:53 UTC

i said that

2020-01-18 00:47:04 UTC

It’s specifically meant to be speculation

2020-01-18 00:47:09 UTC

Metaphysics starts with the principle of being by definition

2020-01-18 00:47:13 UTC

Then branches out from there

2020-01-18 00:47:17 UTC

It's not entirely speculative

2020-01-18 00:47:32 UTC

There is no clear way to explain being, so i say why explain it at all

2020-01-18 00:47:39 UTC

Simply, to be or not to be

2020-01-18 00:48:08 UTC

It’s just my notion that physics are more realistic than metaphysics

2020-01-18 00:48:29 UTC

more realistic

2020-01-18 00:48:30 UTC

well

2020-01-18 00:48:35 UTC

its more grounded in material world

2020-01-18 00:48:51 UTC

Because anyone can just say that reality is fake, or that we do not exist, or any other abstract thought.

2020-01-18 00:48:53 UTC

realism isn't always the best way to explain things

2020-01-18 00:48:56 UTC

But you cannot prove that

2020-01-18 00:49:29 UTC

While true that Realism doesn’t always prove things it does explain how things work

2020-01-18 00:54:30 UTC

For instance, you cannot prove that something always works, but you can explain how it works

2020-01-18 00:54:48 UTC

That’s the purpose of physics from my perspective

2020-01-18 00:56:30 UTC

Give an example

2020-01-18 00:58:51 UTC

In the sense of physics or just in general

2020-01-18 01:00:18 UTC

In sense of physics

2020-01-18 01:06:07 UTC

i will METAPHYSICALLY rape my wife

2020-01-18 01:08:10 UTC

Talking about metaphysics with your wife she'd probably asked to be raped instead

2020-01-18 01:08:45 UTC

Lets take Christopher Langan’s theory of CTMU. Materially you cannot prove the CTMU. But you can explain it through philosophy/physics.

2020-01-18 01:09:09 UTC

So while not directly provable it can explain things.

2020-01-18 01:11:42 UTC

Physics has never been a topic I've been particularly interested in

2020-01-18 01:12:19 UTC

I’d love to get into Physics but i’m not good enough at math to make an understanding of it

2020-01-18 01:16:24 UTC

Big brain stuff

2020-01-18 01:16:52 UTC

I'm more of a history and culture sort of guy

2020-01-18 01:17:14 UTC

Understandable

2020-01-18 01:17:23 UTC

It’s important to center yourself on those topics

2020-01-18 01:17:37 UTC

Personally however i see the pursuit of all knowledge to be a good pursuit

2020-01-18 01:18:08 UTC

That’s mostly why i agree with state mandated colleges to ensure that everyone has the right to knowledge

2020-01-18 01:18:42 UTC

You can access literally anything you could ever want to read about from your phone and there's no reason you shouldn't do that

2020-01-18 01:19:01 UTC

There is nothing more important in the world than the fact of knowing. I can not fathom living an abysmal life of ignorance.

2020-01-18 01:19:11 UTC

Which i do

2020-01-18 01:19:33 UTC

Simple people seem happy

2020-01-18 01:19:39 UTC

I attempt to educate myself as much as possible. Though i am mostly slacking due to poor time management

2020-01-18 01:19:42 UTC

I wouldn't call it Abysmal
