You can say the same about the apostles
BRUH
He didn't "give" them infallibility
Because that implies they can act on their own
They cannot
Nothing can be added or subtracted from this scripture
that's what eoppa is saying when he says papal infallability
the pop is infallable ex cathedra
when he is infallable he cannot go against church canon
Matthew 10:20
becuase God is working through him
He gave Peter infallibility when speaking the word of God
Peter
Mk?
And?
Whatever the Apostles said, God said
And apostolic succession causes this to pass onto the Roman Pontiff
As head of the Church
If Peter's power can be translated to another person
it's not peter's power
Matthews 10:20
Peter was initially the head of the Church, he was the rock upon which it was built
Huh
Why didn't Peter's ability to raise the dead be given to his successor
bible bot is offline
Why can't the pope raise the dead
When Peter passed on the job of head of the Church so too was this passed on
Peter could
Because that was unrelated to his position as head of the Church
That was a miracle
And by the way any Priest can perform a miracle
It wasn't an isolated incident
```Matthew 10:20
[20]For it is not you that speak, but the spirit of your Father that speaketh in you.```
If you wanted that verse
Transubstantiation
peter didn't have the ability to resurrect people
God may have resurrected people through him
but this wasn't an attribute of Peter, the man
It is something vested in Peter as the rock upon which the Church is built
