and there will always be false ones.

2020-02-07 00:51:07 UTC

Faith is critical

2020-02-07 00:51:29 UTC

Everything is about faith. It's not about proof. If you must have proof of everything then you have no faith

2020-02-07 00:51:59 UTC

We can't prove that Moses parted the Red Sea. We can't prove that God appeared to Moses.

2020-02-07 00:52:04 UTC

ok so then I saw Jesus an hour ago and he said you were wrong. proof? nah just have fatith

2020-02-07 00:52:05 UTC

None of these things can be proven

2020-02-07 00:52:18 UTC

It's about faith exactly

2020-02-07 00:52:29 UTC

If you saw Jesus an hour ago then you have a personal relationship with him and that's your business

2020-02-07 00:52:38 UTC

You don't have to prove it to me

2020-02-07 00:52:46 UTC

I don't have to believe you but I might

2020-02-07 00:53:30 UTC

there is so much wrong with that

2020-02-07 00:53:45 UTC

as Christians we must find proof for our beliefs

2020-02-07 00:53:51 UTC

If you have proof than faith is irrelevant

2020-02-07 00:53:53 UTC

this is why we are laughed at

2020-02-07 00:53:58 UTC

But faith is everything

2020-02-07 00:54:29 UTC

than we view it differently

2020-02-07 00:54:31 UTC

We have no proof of any of these things. It is all about faith. It is about testimony. It is about a personal relationship with the savior

2020-02-07 00:55:03 UTC

Well if you're an atheist or agnostic then you don't have much faith in Jesus Christ but no one's forcing you to

2020-02-07 00:56:01 UTC

no because they are unbiblical, they do not follow the doctrine of the Bible, as like I said, if he appeared again in the flesh, then why did nothing that was prophesized to happen with that ever happen?

2020-02-07 00:56:19 UTC

if he appeared again for a second time we should all be raptured, no?

2020-02-07 00:56:26 UTC

I want to change my picture but it's not letting me do that

2020-02-07 00:56:35 UTC

What's the argument here

2020-02-07 00:56:44 UTC

mormonism

2020-02-07 00:56:46 UTC

The Bible is all about faith also. Can't prove anything in the Bible is true

2020-02-07 00:56:48 UTC

idfk read

2020-02-07 00:56:52 UTC

That is untrue lemi

2020-02-07 00:57:03 UTC

We can demonstrate a lot of the things in the bible

2020-02-07 00:57:06 UTC

i.e that Jesus is the messiah

2020-02-07 00:57:07 UTC

No claims can be proven at all?

2020-02-07 00:57:15 UTC

Or literally anything else lol

2020-02-07 00:57:18 UTC

Even minor things?

2020-02-07 00:57:27 UTC

The second coming is not just about him arriving. He arrives all the time. The second coming is an event

2020-02-07 00:57:27 UTC

Like we discovered King Uzziahs grave

2020-02-07 00:57:33 UTC

You misunderstand what the second coming is

2020-02-07 00:57:34 UTC

That's something

2020-02-07 00:58:02 UTC

In the second coming he shows himself to all people as the savior and the Christ

2020-02-07 00:58:28 UTC

It is just labeled the second coming. That doesn't mean that he didn't come before the first coming

2020-02-07 00:58:34 UTC

So what you're saying doesn't make sense does it

2020-02-07 00:58:58 UTC

There are many more than 2 arrivals of Jesus Christ as we well know

2020-02-07 00:59:05 UTC

We don't have anything called the first coming

2020-02-07 01:00:04 UTC

@moira now, you want my personal opinion on the works brought forth by Joseph Smith Jun?
I find the whole thing, highly compelling.
For example, last week I was hanging up in manitou springs, local art Mecca, and I spent the night lounging in the Matè Yerba factory, a quant deli ran by a religious group calling themselves The Twelve Tribes. My friend, Nadiv, works the graveyard shift. I kept to myself in the corner with a copy of Doctrine and Covenants as well as one of those "pocket Bibles" which is New Testament with Psalms and Proverbs tacked on the back.
It really wasn't a busy night so my friend would occasionally drop some scripture references to me. No lie, I am in awe and respect for his skill to know do many biblical verses from memory. Matter of fact, he's probably the only person I know outside the LDS faith who can spit references with such acrument. Point being, everything he said, everything he referenced, harkened back to what I was thumbing though in the D&C . it's as if they nothing short of reaffirm everything each other says. The Bible and the Doctrine and Covenants.

I wish I could tell you more. But alas, I've got to get going for me evening class.
God be with you until we meet again.
