100%

2020-02-23 16:14:40 UTC

completely true, Lettow.

This may answer somewhat yo your question in a different way.
Since in Latin America country the disproportion of wealth is huge, the differentiations perceive by normal people, between ethnic groups, is mostly due to social factors. For example, I'm meztizo, but since I do locate in the middle class; I could consider myself white to other people.

2020-02-23 16:15:57 UTC

yes and yes

2020-02-23 16:16:23 UTC

Completely

2020-02-23 16:16:41 UTC

How do you know all of this?

2020-02-23 16:17:54 UTC

Normally I do investigate about it in NCBI.

2020-02-23 16:18:28 UTC

Yeah that is true.

2020-02-23 16:18:39 UTC

Thanks

2020-02-23 16:18:45 UTC

If not, I decide to find studies by their name in Google, since most of the time they mentione other studies to further study.

2020-02-23 16:18:49 UTC

I'm actually surprised about how you know this

2020-02-23 16:19:40 UTC

This was also double edged btw

2020-02-23 16:20:39 UTC

The Mexican government promoted the idea of "mestizaje" in all of the nation, adhering to the idea that Mexicans are a product of mixing between Spaniards and Natives

2020-02-23 16:20:59 UTC

This means that even 100% Europeans or 100% Natives identify as "mestizo" in mexico sometimes

2020-02-23 16:21:09 UTC

Being the default

2020-02-23 16:21:17 UTC

It's mostly a cultural denomination

2020-02-23 16:24:41 UTC

Still to make it clear, I'm not assuming that there is no difference in races, which in fact they do, but when we take racial PERCEPTIONS we reach a very different scope from simple biological studies.

2020-02-23 16:26:01 UTC

Still I'm investigating, so I would not consider myself expert on the subject, maning I don't propose any course of action to it.

2020-02-23 16:27:43 UTC

You can keep your race bs to yourself

2020-02-23 16:28:33 UTC

there are differences in races bro

2020-02-23 16:28:36 UTC

Ok <:wtf:591182282648190986>

2020-02-23 16:30:32 UTC

So, Uh

2020-02-23 16:30:46 UTC

You have to be concise

2020-02-23 16:30:50 UTC

👏

2020-02-23 16:33:42 UTC

Wdm by "concise"?

2020-02-23 16:38:26 UTC

eh, whatever.

2020-02-23 16:43:58 UTC

Okay so segregation in a multi racial country being natural is bullshit

2020-02-23 16:49:28 UTC

I never implied segregation, but, funnily enough, that is something common in Mexico.

2020-02-23 16:50:18 UTC

At least according by P Monkkonen (2012).

2020-02-23 16:50:26 UTC

I am interested, could you elaborate?

2020-02-23 16:51:27 UTC

Technically racism protects cultural identities, it's just unbecoming when it's projected on others.

2020-02-23 16:52:12 UTC

I can't speak for Mexico since they were a separate unit of the Spanish Empire from the start, and having the US as neighbor has to spice up things too

2020-02-23 16:53:54 UTC

I find that hypothesis kind of bizarre since De Soto stayed in Illinois over a decade. Shouldn't Illinois be native and Spanish population?

2020-02-23 16:54:58 UTC

what hypothesis?

2020-02-23 16:55:17 UTC

About mexico

2020-02-23 16:55:38 UTC

?

2020-02-23 16:55:53 UTC

Sure. Acording to him, mostly, in urban areas in there have been a rise in the diacrimination and marginalization agaisn't other racial groups, mainly indians done by the general population. @moira

2020-02-23 16:56:03 UTC

The conquistadors left Central and south America after pillaging it looking for the fabled El Dorado

2020-02-23 16:56:48 UTC

He also, mentioned other studies, which I haven't read, containing that these marginalizatin is acutally increasing in countries like Argentina, Chile and Brazil.

2020-02-23 16:57:00 UTC

Let me see if I can translate something rf.

2020-02-23 16:59:48 UTC

@SavvyPun The thing is, after the new lands were discovered, the definitive draft of the territories was, North of Panama governed through Mexico, South governed through Lima
