and my autocad expierience is about 15 years out of date

so, basically have to relearn how to draft

when i was intructed, a pencil and a ruler were still used

I learned Autocad and Revit for the job opportunities

And to make my highschool engineering class easier

I learned it in highschool on a set up that didnt even enable 3D rendering

My dad gave me his old book he had from 1988 during his airforce years

Didnt help with much

But I found an old Singaporean dollar

He wasnt even an engineer

you didnt have to be to get a job over there

my grandpa didnt rven finish 8th grade and he was lead engineer on a wind power farm in the phillipines

(which is probably why they ended up hiring ghurkas to kill him)

now im in my early 30's with no qualifications that dont involve counter-terrorism

My dad joined in 86

2 years after hopping on a plane from Colombia

He started off small, eventually he worked as an organizer for the logistics and deployment of task force and military advisers for US friendly regimes and shit

He was there until 1994

So he was in Panama and Desert Storm

yeah, I started as infantry, ended up intel, then ended up doing covert stuff

you get out into the civilian market, find out that about 200,000 guys like yourself are all looking for work, and that all the crazy shit you did never happened and that they'll give you $15 an hour as a prison guard
