meh then dont complain about aaa publishers following suit to make marketing and shareholders happy
how is that even an argument
cause i made it one
lol
and?
haha
I wish I could sleep
early access isnt as bad as pre-ordering games that later turn out to be worse than expected
i mean you dont have to agree with me
like your points are idiotic
to you maybe
again ruger you arent the end all of things
im a professional game developer... your a drug dealer
so my opinion is invalid as a consumer
gg
I mean, have you seen the state of WoW?
its easy to shrug me off since i used to sell narcotics?
no, its about how games are made and funded
```[10:29 AM] Baby Gravy: no its just how the world works. either you can afford or convince a company/investor to back you or you dont put out a product.```
in this case the customers *are* the backers lol. they convince customers to fund them via early access
Someone in the game industry would have a better understanding
ruger early access is useful like you said but some developers ruin it for the consumers when they just stop working on the game and keep it early access for a ridiculous long time
instead of investors
thats why i prefer finished games
yah and stay in beta for an eternity which AAA noticed
and realized they can just fix as they go
yes, but you are told that the game is early access
right
you go into it *knowing* the game isn't finished
and might not be finished
Is viscera clean up still in early access?
didnt say they were moral for it. just said its a trend they are latching onto
It's been a few years since I checked
cause it helps shareholders
but it doesnt
Early access is always a bit of a risk by definition but they have to tell you they're in EA by law
season passes etc fall along those lines. dont develop the whole game
trickle it out
dont spend as much on testing cause we can just patch it
Morning Coat
No they aren't. Season Pass content typically is released after the initial full release. Early Access is an incomplete product, like it hasn't reached full release.
