The most depressed i have been off of a book was reading The Plague by Camus.

That sounds like an art project/game thing I saw

he has a few of them, focusing on different periods

i just find books with illistrations easier to palate and more often than not have more care and effort put into them

history is good

tanks are cool

You can only play it once, and basically you're a scientist, working on the cure to cancer, and it goes pretty wrong and people start to become very ill, wiping out most of humanity
