corporatism is reactionary to socialism and capitalism so it would depend on your definitions for both of those
I define socialism as the MoP owned by the workers or state
Capitalism is an economic system characterized by private or corporate ownership of capital goods, by investments that are determined by private decision, and by prices, production, and the distribution of goods that are determined by competition in a free market.
"free market"
yes
hmmm
Mhm?
what does he mean by this
I mean a market with no state intervention, just market forces
are you talking a true free market or what?
yes
this doesn't exist anywhere?
Correct
atleast you're consistent
like I said, I don't really care all that much about economics, I'm a national socialist. I see it as a tool to serve the people, not the people as a tool to serve the economy
There is no "the economy"
we are the economy
it's not a seperate entity
I'd disagree
regardless
Why
when I say "the economy" I'm referring to the system itself
I'm anti-free market
Why's that
It allocates resources the best
how do you define what "the best" is?
Highest living standards
and strong economic growth
no boom and bust cycles
Just general best allocation of scarce resources
i care less about living standards than I do other things
Thats the whole point of an economy
how do you measure economic growth?
A rise in the living standards
how do you know that?
Census
You can use GDP as some sort of measure but it isn't accurate and not the best measure.
I'd say purchasing power, new goods and services of which people demand
It's hard to measure anyways
For an economy that is to serve multiple private needs, the calculation of economic growth makes little sense. Each good and service has a different value for each user, and there is no common standard of value available. This is even more so the case, when new products and new kinds of services come to the market. Valuations are not only heterogeneous among persons, but also differ for the same person according to the specific circumstances. Human beings have different needs and wants in different situations, and they experience changes of taste over time.
