-In 1925, prescription drug monopolies begun after the federal government started allowing the patenting of drugs.
-In 1945, the McCarran-Ferguson Act led by the Roosevelt Administration exempted the business of medical insurance from most federal regulation, including antitrust laws.
-In 1946, favoured hospitals received federal subsidies (matching grants and loans) provided under the Hospital Survey and Construction Act passed during the Truman Administration.
-In 1951, employers started to become the dominant third-party insurance buyer during the Truman Administration after the Internal Revenue Service declared group premiums tax-deductible.
-In 1965, nationalisation was started with a government buyer monopoly after the Johnson Administration led passage of Medicare and Medicaid
-In 1972, The Nixon Administration started restricting the supply of hospitals by requiring federal certificate-of-need for the construction of medical facilities.
-In 1974, The Nixon Administration after the Employee Retirement Income Security Act exempted employee health benefit plans offered by large employers (e.g., HMOs) from state regulations and lawsuits
-In 1984, During the Reagan Administration after the Drug Price Competition and Patent Term Restoration Act permitted the extension of patents beyond 20 years.
These are only the major ones, there were A LOT more regulations added on this market
So clearly the only reason why the cost is so high is the government putting socialist intervention into the market.
If the healthcare was free market, your M4H plan that Bernie is calling for would be much more expensive than the free market plan. Also much better quality and waiting times, and the government would have to spend no more which means lower taxes.
win win for everyone
Why would I listen to Ben Carson, he went to Michigan
Patent extension + getting rid of regulation + lawsuit exemption = socialism?
Where did you get that chart?
@Neco2040 Any state intervention into a market is socialist.
Where did you get that chart?
Can't remember
Well, that's the only appealing argument you have made so far, so I would like to know if it comes from a reliable source

Guys first rule of debating.. if you’re gonna make a claim be prepared to back it up with some kind of source to explain your reasoning. Even if your source is invalid or what have you it at least gives reasoning to why you made such a claim. We can then attack the source that you provided and not you yourself. This is what gets the ball rolling to come to a mutual understanding. Sharing information and educating each other through multiple studies is how we grow together. Don’t be like the flat earthers do and just make up stuff. Please. Thank you. This is a PSA 😂
okay i'll do what we all do; google my claim and find the first source that supports my argument and post it
I mean it’s better than nothing. If you think this was about you, it’s not. it was a general post because I’ve seen this occur multiple times by multiple people since I’ve been on this server
Why do Republicans not want the citizenry to stand a chance against a government that may turn tyrannical?
Lol that’s awesome
