I would keep wondering why you're calling us saltines and geese
although, not so much anymore 😉
i dont have an agenda. i use a trapperkeeper
@LadyAquanine I've seen myself that the different subcategories like to segregate themselves into different social media outlets. The nicer ones are a lot more present on facebook, while the ghetto trash prefer kik and soundcloud
Although there are some exceptions, that's generally how I've observed it going
~~I found this out when scouting to see if I could rally them into mobs to terrorize white suburbs, in order to accelerate society's downfall~~
bye
Good lord you guys are hard on black people
my approach has softened a lot in the past 20 years
I used to get in fights with them all the time as a kid
now I either avoid them or am polite when I encounter them
I even dated a black man
They’re just normal people
Hey peeps here I have a question for everybody: what does intelligence look like to you? Not examples, but specifically, what seem like characteristics of brilliant, sharp individuals?
people who are respectful and dont just insult people when they argue *cough* **benshapiro** *cough*
I’d say that’s more courteous than intelligent, but I see those things correlated a lot, personally
also jusst being kind and respectful in general
Some brilliant intelligent people can be assholes.
Ive also seen many stupid people who are kind and respectful
I don’t think kindness is intelligence necessarily
But I’m interested in intelligence: how do you tell a smart person from a dumb one?
Thats a tough question. Have conversations with them. See how they discuss topics or perceive things. Get to know them. Everyone is different so it just depends.
Intelligent people definitely discuss and perceive things differently in my experience
My family is best friends with another family, who for the most part have all gone to Ivy League schools on full rides (and are no means rich). They compete in scrabble tournaments locally, read tons of books, and pick up programming languages super easily. I’m by no means a genius but I feel like I know at least a couple geniuses. My experiences with them is that the way they see issues is always with nuance. They aren’t interested in finding a position, they just want to know more about the problem, which often informs their activism should it exist. Is this what you guys see?
Yeah pretty much. Theyre open minded and dig into things rather than quickly judging and ignoring details
I think it can also be hard to distinguish between someone genuinely exploring nuance and someone faking nuance to push an idea.
Curiosity vs obfuscation
Both of which can come from intelligent people
Mhm. And also you could find people who dont care, therefore dont look at the nuances, but are still highly intelligent
And this is all ignoring intelligent people with emotional issues
Right, and emotional intelligence shouldn’t be ignored either
Because it’s a very useful trait/skill
But I think intelligent people who don’t care would say that they don’t know stuff, unless they have a reason to hide that fact
I guess, in general, intelligent people are more capable at furthering their agendas, be they good or bad, because they have the ability to understand a situation better
Yeah sounds about right
I’m very surprised donaldus hasn’t said that intelligence looks like the God Emperor
I’ll give it a few I guess
Intelligence looks like our God Emperor Trump.
