insallah

Visitor stopping a law abiding gun owner from selling one does nothing either

2019-02-25 17:01:07 UTC

It’s very easy to get a gun illegally

2019-02-25 17:01:14 UTC

Hence why most guns used in crime are illegal sources

2019-02-25 17:01:35 UTC

Think about price controls bro, when they’re placed there is always an excess demand which means black markets

2019-02-25 20:00:27 UTC

I found this but it’s from mother jones which makes me somewhat skeptical

2019-02-25 20:01:52 UTC

yeah mass shootings

2019-02-25 20:02:09 UTC

Sure, there’s a black market for guns, but it isn’t the same size as the gun market would be without restrictions. By restricting supply, you get some black market demand, but you also see the demand curve shift until the overall demand is lower, which means that the number of “bad guys” with guns would be lower than originally.

Ah. Here’s something from the Washington Post

2019-02-25 20:02:31 UTC

Sorry it’s pixelated

2019-02-25 20:03:07 UTC

In Pittsburgh 2008, most crimes were committed with someone else’s gun

2019-02-25 20:03:35 UTC

Mhm I'm talking overall

2019-02-25 20:03:37 UTC

I'll find it

2019-02-25 20:03:38 UTC

But that doesn’t say how much of that was actual black market stuff, unfortunately

2019-02-25 20:05:24 UTC

Theres another one I have

2019-02-25 20:05:33 UTC

But I'll find it after

2019-02-25 20:07:04 UTC

@Leo (BillNyeLand) It's true a black market will always come no matter how hard you try to ban something, especailly a big one for something like guns which is so easily available. The USSR etc tried to stop market forces and they resulted in a "second" economy bigger than the original I believe, because consumer demanding consumer goods they couldn't get due to inefficiency.

2019-02-25 20:07:10 UTC

Just look at drugs today.

2019-02-25 20:18:36 UTC

No, but the high-level Freemasons certainly are baby-eating demons

2019-02-25 23:19:09 UTC

Gun control definitely lowers suicide

2019-02-25 23:20:02 UTC

Lowering suicide is still better than nothing

2019-02-25 23:21:22 UTC

How

2019-02-25 23:26:29 UTC

that makes no sense....

2019-02-25 23:27:50 UTC

dying has to be one of the easiest things to do

2019-02-25 23:28:15 UTC

Would you rather die instantly or slowly?

2019-02-25 23:28:58 UTC

instantly

2019-02-25 23:29:02 UTC

Yes

2019-02-25 23:29:07 UTC

AKA jumping off the empire state building

2019-02-25 23:29:15 UTC

or hanging myself

2019-02-25 23:29:28 UTC

Most people don't have the Empire state building near them

2019-02-25 23:29:33 UTC

yes

2019-02-25 23:29:36 UTC

you build your own

2019-02-25 23:29:37 UTC

And Hanging is painful and slow

2019-02-25 23:29:50 UTC

hanging isnt slow when you snap your neck doing it

2019-02-25 23:29:55 UTC

rather than choking

2019-02-25 23:30:03 UTC

It's not as quick as a gun

2019-02-25 23:30:43 UTC

What kind of dumb fuck who would be determined enough to kill themselves in the first place change the decision simply because they can't get guns as easily

2019-02-25 23:31:03 UTC

lol

2019-02-25 23:31:04 UTC

That's like making suicides illegal, like it would change anything

2019-02-25 23:31:39 UTC

Most people who want to die are scared of the pain
