It does suck, and a lot of things about that should be changed. If you can have a meaningful long term relationship without marriage that might be best, but if not then try not to let risks prevent you enjoying your life to the fullest

2019-02-18 19:56:32 UTC

Yeah I dumbly got married at 20 right after joining the military. Wrong call.

2019-02-19 00:50:02 UTC

@thorney112 Good luck , no one care about the military trust me i played that card

2019-02-19 00:52:47 UTC

People like to think of the military as strong. Not needing any help.

2019-02-19 00:53:00 UTC

no they see as money

2019-02-19 00:54:26 UTC

i even went to the court house in ocp and the judge didnt care

2019-02-19 01:53:37 UTC

@Indigo Where did you get that image? I'd like to cite it and credit the author

2019-02-19 16:38:03 UTC

There are quite a few links that may help in <#523457566307516446> by the way @thorney112

2019-02-20 00:54:45 UTC

so

2019-02-20 00:56:45 UTC

question during my divorce my wife have filed mult injunction file but she have lied in all of them . https://www.lawserver.com/law/state/florida/statutes/florida_statutes_837-02 tell me she can be punished , do you guys have a course of action i should be taking to bring these charges to light

2019-02-20 00:59:58 UTC

What were the injunctions for?

2019-02-20 01:00:40 UTC

And can you prove that what she said were lies (and she knew they were lies) that effected the course and outcome of proceedings?

2019-02-20 01:20:51 UTC

Judges tend not to be fond of people they know lied, and normally that casts a pall on all the liar's testimony. So chances are when you file a rebuttal you'll get ample oppurtunity to demonstrate that and that will be quite good for you. However, as for punished beyond dimming the family court judge's opinion of her trustworthiness, probably not. Perjury is not an often used law, much to my chagrin. And of course, IANAL, always listen to your lawyer.

2019-02-20 01:26:15 UTC

"
Unfortunately, the harsh reality is that perjury is very rarely charged against anyone who testifies unless the offense is egregious. The reason? It is exceptionally difficult to show that someone intentionally lied about something unless their lie is so far afield that it is plain that person is attempting to mislead the trier of fact.

"
Unfortunately, one of the most common places you might experience perjury is during family law proceedings.

2019-02-20 01:32:22 UTC

so police report say one story

2019-02-20 01:32:34 UTC

the injuntion say another story

2019-02-20 01:32:42 UTC

Yea, that's why I asked if it if they can prove it.. it really sucks but it's hard to prove the lie, and prove intent and knowledge of the lie at the time

2019-02-20 01:33:22 UTC

i can prove it

2019-02-20 01:33:32 UTC

the court date was pushed

2019-02-20 01:34:07 UTC

Can you prove she lied deliberately and that the intent of her lie was to somehow pervert the course of justice?

2019-02-20 01:34:16 UTC

Because that's harder than just the lie

2019-02-20 01:35:49 UTC

Genkernel is right in that likely nothing will be done. But there's no harm in asking your lawyer about it (unless you pay for that privilege)

2019-02-20 01:36:07 UTC

i can asking around

2019-02-20 01:36:37 UTC

There was a link to speak to one on the page you linked to

2019-02-20 01:37:00 UTC

yea for 5 dollar

2019-02-20 01:38:10 UTC

Oh >.<

2019-02-20 01:38:41 UTC

yea i know

2019-02-20 01:38:51 UTC

there so many hoes in her stories

2019-02-20 01:39:03 UTC

i guess i will have to prove her wrong

2019-02-21 03:41:22 UTC

hey all, so my attorneys sent a proposal to my stbx and if she agrees, we can both put all this behind us in 30-40 days i'm being told.

2019-02-21 03:41:56 UTC

so then i get my latest monthly bill asking for even larger retainer?

2019-02-21 03:42:25 UTC

wtf, if we are about to wrap this up, why do they need even more money?

2019-02-21 03:42:57 UTC

i'm about to drop these fucking leeches and try and talk some sense into my wife

2019-02-21 03:47:20 UTC

Mmm, idk, maybe they think she won't agree but her lawyer and them are trying to talk it over? Do they give a reason for the increased amount, maybe it's like, the last one?

2019-02-21 03:47:37 UTC

Be careful with your communications. Don’t want anything used against you.

2019-02-21 03:47:50 UTC
