There's been some great traditions and cultures lost to it

I think all non-Western culture is slowly being eaten away

But our culture is kinda over-riding everyone else's

I think a lot of people who scream out "cultural appropriation" do so in an attempt to preserve such cultures, but not sharing culture will do the opposite and make it more likely to die out.

That's possibly true

I think everywhere needs to revitalize the best parts of their traditional culture or we'll see a day when it's all ancient history and you won't be able to tell any culture from any other

Ever seen a modern Bollywood film?

They basically look like Hollywood films, but cheaper.

They aren't distinct anymore

you could say the same for a lot of Asian film, used to be very distinct but not as much anymore

even in games, a lot of old school JRPGs are being lost to more western gaming trends.

less turn based, linear with a tight narrative and more open world real time with a more "do what you want"attitude.

Yeah, I get that. I'm not so worried about the rpgs. More the stuff that is only really preserved in cultural festivals

So, the article actually *is* the study... The abstract is just what they want to say about wording (people think different things when you change the wording of something and possibly the meaning, there's a shocker, anyone remember when they changed the wording to 'would you have sex with a woman who had a drink and counted men as rapists who said yes?)

They are just saying what they want things to mean. I doubt they've given the specific wording of the questions, nor is the site thecut.com reputable as a study source

I don't think that people should be killed generally and I think that sex work should be legal. Imo the reason it isn't is because women would lose their power over men to an extent

Not just women but anyone who leverages men by incentivising them with status. It's an as cheating in many ways

I don't know, it honestly seems like sex work is becoming more and more something young women are turning toward, with sex cams, "premium snapchats" and hell, even Twitch to an extent

Personally I'd like to see that sort of thing be dis-incentivized, if only to preserve the health of the male-female relationship

Sexual promiscuity shouldn't be incentivized, it's shown to have a dire impact on divorce rates and happiness in relationships
