just so happened to include TwoX

2019-01-28 22:39:16 UTC

I heard the reddit admins have been targeting a lot of men's right related subs

2019-01-28 22:39:35 UTC

How so?

2019-01-28 22:41:12 UTC

Someone on /r/mensrights said they shut down a men's liberation subreddit

2019-01-28 22:41:19 UTC

they didn't say which though so idk

2019-01-28 22:50:37 UTC

i know of menslib which is definitely NOT pro MRA

2019-01-28 22:50:57 UTC

I don’t think Men’s Lib was shutdown...

2019-01-28 22:51:24 UTC

cant think of other MRA subs

2019-01-28 22:51:36 UTC

other than the auxillaries of MR

2019-01-28 22:51:42 UTC

Right.

2019-01-28 22:53:37 UTC

hey, at least we have more subs than /r/feminism

2019-01-28 22:54:05 UTC

I'm surprised reddit didn't cut the sub number down

2019-01-28 22:55:01 UTC

I imagine you mean TRP and MGTOW subs

2019-01-28 22:55:22 UTC

TPR?

2019-01-28 22:55:26 UTC

Did they get shut down?

2019-01-28 22:55:28 UTC

Theredpill

2019-01-28 22:55:32 UTC

oh

2019-01-28 22:56:44 UTC

Admin disdain on Reddit for men's orientated subs is clear really from what they allow with subs like r/against mens rights

2019-01-28 22:57:11 UTC

But that's not gonna stop us speaking out on the issues

2019-01-28 22:59:19 UTC

This emotional labor stuff is a bit goofy. Apparently men don't provide any emotional support

2019-01-28 22:59:45 UTC

the original link you posted was fafsa 😛 ironically also relevant since men have to sign up for the draft to receive financial aid

2019-01-28 23:00:31 UTC

Yeah

2019-01-28 23:02:07 UTC

I see this "emotional labor" thing pop up more and more and I don't get it. Make up your mind, feminists, are men allowed to talk about their issues or aren't they?

2019-01-28 23:03:24 UTC

They always argue that men don't talk about their feelings and then when a man seeks some support it's now emotional labor

2019-01-28 23:08:05 UTC

I think a big problem is people see feminism as some monolithic idea

2019-01-28 23:08:25 UTC

In reality it has no basis in anything, and there is no central organization. So it's whatever each idiot wants it to be.

2019-01-28 23:08:48 UTC

It's allowed to have totally contradictory positions as long as those positions don't offend any women.

2019-01-28 23:12:15 UTC

The entire origins of feminism is steeped in overgeneralized hate of a father figure.

2019-01-28 23:12:37 UTC

that's the wildest part about it, it literally is a religion where the only tenet is "woman good"

2019-01-28 23:13:27 UTC

It's similar to MGTOW in my mind. I support their idealogical movement more, but at the same time their motivation is generally due to a bad mother, and repeat experiences with dating women like their mother. There's a lot of studies showing abused children go after similar partners because it feels familiar at first.

2019-01-28 23:14:24 UTC

Google searches will find you legitimate peer reviewed studies on this topic

2019-01-28 23:14:34 UTC

MGTOW would do well to listen to a bit more JBP

2019-01-28 23:21:31 UTC

I spent so much time when I was younger acting as an emotional caretaker for the women in my life, but I never saw it as "labor" because people generally do genuinely appreciate it

2019-01-28 23:22:06 UTC

Calling it emotional labor just sounds like something a selfish person who doesn't care about anyone but themselves would call it

2019-01-28 23:22:34 UTC

Yeah

2019-01-28 23:22:44 UTC

Rather ridiculous imo

2019-01-28 23:32:44 UTC

I read that back in the 70s and 80s in the US they used to have co-ed swim class and forced the male students to swim naked

2019-01-28 23:39:27 UTC

I've never heard about that, I didn't even exist in the 80s, but there was a time when communal showering was a part of gym class

2019-01-28 23:41:43 UTC

it's true
