Hey guys. I'm 15 and I'm from Canada. I've been following the Men's Rights movement for roughly 2 years since watching the Red Pill documentary.

Hey @Jonathan , yeah, the Red Pill is a good doco, it helped raise a lot of awareness, I have a physical copy of it I like to lend around to people as it covers a whole range of the movement and what it is actually about instead of what feminists tell you it is about šŸ˜ƒ

2018-12-17 01:25:54 UTC

2018-12-17 01:26:02 UTC

Hey guys im here cuz i have a question.

2018-12-17 01:26:17 UTC

I don't understand why reddit meninists dislike MeToo so much

2018-12-17 01:26:35 UTC

It's just bringing awareness to the frequency of sexual harassment, and trying to reduce it

2018-12-17 01:26:43 UTC

so are manchildren just mad that they can't hit on girls?

2018-12-17 01:27:41 UTC

you're not supposed to "hit on girls", relationships form organically from casual social interaction

2018-12-17 01:29:22 UTC

no, we are 't dislike metoo, we dislike false accusations

2018-12-17 01:29:45 UTC

you really have the wrong idea about the mens rights movement. and w dont call ourselves meninists

2018-12-17 01:30:50 UTC

dont*

2018-12-17 02:32:25 UTC

MeToo started off on the right foot and had a strong core in mind, however there is a loud minority that deny that men can be abused, the women who started MeToo even admitted that it had morphed into something that she didnā€™t want to associate anymore, false accusations are also becoming more common combined with the ā€œbelieve all womenā€ sentiment on top of the idea that a man cannot be abused by a women, you end up with a pretty nasty structure that actively excludes male survivors.

2018-12-17 02:39:56 UTC

I think you will find that most of the men and women in here would support the old MeToo structure that was inclusive to both women and men, however the loud minority that has made itself known in the movement has left a sour taste in peopleā€™s mouthes, and often we use humour to help as a coping mechanism for things that upset us, especially those men who are survivors and the women here who suffered from female abuse, there is a sense that we are actively being silenced, that our experiences are less important that a women who is a survivor of male violence when they should be the same amount of relevancy

2018-12-17 02:41:55 UTC

2018-12-17 02:57:54 UTC

@DudeImTrippinBallsXD#1691 I would also like to point out that the term ā€œmanchildā€ is quite rude as it normalises the idea that if a man is to show emotion then he is not really a man, and the suppression of emotion can be quite destructive on the psyche, itā€™s okay to use in jest or as a joke, but it concerns me that you seem to be using it in a serious context, so I just want to ask for a little bit more compassion in that regard, but if there are other things you want to ask or points you want to argue you can feel free to šŸ˜ƒ

2018-12-17 02:58:54 UTC

it's good to bring attention to rape and all but trying to "stop rape" is impossible anyways

2018-12-17 02:59:00 UTC

that's like trying to stop murder

2018-12-17 02:59:09 UTC

there will always be sick people that will do these things

2018-12-17 02:59:15 UTC

so instead of focusing on the fact that they do them

2018-12-17 02:59:22 UTC

why not focus on what causes them to do it?

2018-12-17 02:59:27 UTC

so you can y'know

2018-12-17 02:59:30 UTC

minimize the problem

2018-12-17 02:59:33 UTC

instead of going on a witchhunt

2018-12-17 03:00:04 UTC

and maybe getting a couple actual rapists but burning 9 other innocent people per

2018-12-17 03:00:29 UTC

2018-12-17 03:16:29 UTC

>several minutes later i realize i said "racists" instead of rapists

2018-12-17 03:16:33 UTC

ma jeg bede om dod?

2018-12-17 03:18:05 UTC

/sigh... pretty sure that guy was just a troll, he seems to have left before anyone could argue our points, oh well

Also welcome @Maxwell_Richardson and yeah, it would be impossible to stop rape, there will always be the sick fucks out there who get a kick out of hurting other people, but I think a good focus for us is helping to get male survivors the help they need, getting them noticed and also drawing attention that even if they are a minority, women can be very sexually abusive too, and those people should face the exact same punishment

2018-12-17 03:18:35 UTC

of course, but intentionally ***seeking out*** the punishment of rapists doesn't help anyone

2018-12-17 03:18:43 UTC

something like 40-60% of rape accusations are false

2018-12-17 03:29:13 UTC

Yes, actively going out on warlock hunt is naturally going to result in a confirmation bias where you are simply guilty by association
