That's odd
The account posted on /r/feminism a *lot* before this
but also posted a few things to /r/MGTOW and /r/MGTOW2
which is why I suspect an alt
A cursory check would suggest the guy is a genuine menslibber
/r/MensLib isn't as ban happy for people who participate in /r/MensRights stuff as /r/feminism so it is entirely possible that it will remain cordial
..
I even posted something relatively aggressive in the /r/MensLib side and got *upvoted* for it: https://www.reddit.com/r/MensLib/comments/abhu8j/mens_issues_regarding_child_custody_and_child/ed6cu9q/
And the mod responded to me and didn't nail me
/r/MensLib really isn't /r/feminism at all
I don't know about that, they focus men's issues through the eyes of feminism, and a singular post on there and some (admittedly fair) comments on there isn't going to change my view on that overnight
I'm clearly referring to moderation policy and not philosophy
Even if MensLib wasn't basically the anti-male approach to men's issues, criticism of feminism is not allowed on MensLib -- which kneecaps the whole addressing men's issues thing.
Which would seem to indicate their moderation policy is very different than mens rights, we don't ban criticism of what MRA's do
Well, practically everywhere jas a very different moderation policy than MensRights
but yeah
Although, I would contend that that /r/MensLib, which is I think the 2nd largest sub on the topic of general men's issues (excluding more specific communities like /r/MGTOW) would basically *be* /r/MensRights if they didn't explicitly make it a feminist space
which would defeat the purpose of /r/MensLib
So to some degree I don't begrudge them some measure of culling as far as antifeminism goes (even if I think the idea of profeminist men's advocacy is a mistake), though they really seem to have gone ham on nailing it down.
Perhaps it's unfortunate, but I do have to blame them for operating that way. It detracts from having the situation discussed in an open and logical manner, making it harder for men's issues to get headway
If we wanna continue we should probably go over to <#523922218200203265>
Subreddit drama is <#523922218200203265>?
Idk, I felt it strayed into the philosophies of the respective subs, delving into different perspectives of those who may want to discuss men's rights issues. I'm not the type of mod who's gonna enforce on having this discussion here if you choose to ignore me
eh, we can take it to <#523922218200203265>, do continue over there
Since you agreed I had nothing much else to comment unless you do lol xD
haha, we're on the same page and I've run out of words too
Ah well, was fun, always good to have things to distract me when I'm on my exercise bike
What have you been up to today?
Well, early today I finished a science victory in Endless Legend
Vaulters are really powerful in both Endless Space 2 and Legend both
You?
I have no idea what that game is are but glad you won ^^
I actually only got up about 6 hours ago. Made my 'breakfast', spoke to a few people, just finished 57km on my bike for cardio, and now I'm gonna make some meatballs in tomato sauce and watch Enterprise, possibly play minecraft or YS for a bit
Wow, game looks pretty good and it’s cheap on Steam now!
I came back from the gym. Did some Crossfit.
Also, what is that game about? @asparkofpyrokravte
Endless Legend is a 4X, so think Civilzation if you are unaware of the genre. Combat is significantly simplified from AoW (age of wonders). The game is designed to be a lot more like AoW and a lot less like Civ. But it plays fast. 200 turns is plenty for the "regular speed" slow-ish mode
It features a lot of story-quest things, so it is dripping with theme, moreso than AoW. Factions are far more different in Endless Legend than any other 4x I've played.
I think I would enjoy it.
If you do look into the DLC
