nice. how long have you been an MRA?
Not sure to be honest. I've been lurking on the subreddit for years. Been posting for maybe 1 or 2 years
I'm not particularly involved in any daily activism, so to speak, so maybe it would be a stretch to call me an "activist" in any substantial way
However, I do agree with the vast majority of concerns brought up on the subreddit (though not all) and would like to see a counter-voice become more prominent. It's extremely disappointing to me how lopsided the system has become and how taboo it is to even discuss this.
I was also the victim of a false allegation that nearly destroyed my life (but thankfully didn't)
I was already somewhat lurking on the subreddit prior to that. When it got personal and nearly destroyed my life, it hit me hard and I realized how many others face similar situations (and I'm sure many are not as fortunate as me to escape it)
The legal system is stacked against males, at least in the U.S. and western world. It's an open secret and yet it's tolerated. Very odd.
On top of that, it's now a regular occurrence for me to see females given preferential treatment in promotions and hiring at work (i'm in tech). I one time outright saw a male thrown under the bus as an underperformer because they needed to meet a low-performance quota and the only person lower performing was a female (the director said "we can't have a female at the bottom")
Same with hiring events. Just outright preferential treatment.
And not just at my company, but many companies that my peers are at. We are all in tech. There is so much pressure to hire women, many people are outright discriminating. It's against the law and yet it's very much tolerated and difficult to prove.
All-in-all, I see many factors that concern me
Welcome xerxes, whether you've been vocal about these things before or not it's ok to be here and to voice them here :3
Thanks @InsaneCaterpilla
Wow, that's awful @xerxesgm . If you want to write about it for our website, let me know.

BadMensAnatomy... hates men. Surprising.
there is a BadMensAnatomy?
@Men Are Human I believe you had commented in the past on reddit. I have written fairly extensive comments describing the situation. You could use those, or if you want me to do a writeup, I could probably throw something together describing the entire series of events.
@xerxesgm Oh, did I? It's hard to keep track as I don't store the names of the accounts when they are anonymous. It should be available as soon as we have a full article in the same theme, in that case. If you would like to do a full writeup on it, though, please feel free. I can always use that one instead if you let me know which of the quotes was yours.
@Men Are Human of course, totally understand. I can see you're quite active on there.
Yeah, sure, I could do a writeup if you want. Give me a few days
Thanks a lot @xerxesgm , that would be very helpful. 😃
By the way @everyone on mobile - there seems to be a small bug with the mobile browser version of Discord that very occasionally causes people to be kicked from the server, usually as soon as they arrive. It's not a big deal, and it doesn't seem to affect app users, so if you are worried you could try out getting the app. In any case, I'd advise anyone who doesn't want the app to maybe bookmark one of our permanent invites just on case. If anyone has this problem and can't get back on the server, you can contact me on the Reddit or simply search /r/mensrights for the discord link.
