Yes, the Western Allies did make important contribution to the war, this nobody denies. All of the Allies were instrumental in brining down the Axis, all four of them - however, sans USSR, Europe does fall to the Axis and no amount of Lancasters will save Britain. From this you can infer the order of primacy in terms of importance.

Yeah the German industry and production process itself was a mess compared to, say, that of the Americans. Germany had many problems but again the most pressing one they had was the oil angle. They didn't have the oil needed to conquer USSR, but USSR had both the resources and the troops to fight back. In fact, this fact is reflected in the more lucid writings of some German figures in the very first years of WW2.

Now, it didn't help Germans that their leadership was essentially schizophrenic or divided in two distinct personalities: the Hitlerian camp pushing for the Caucasus, and the Halderian camp pushing for Moscow. The forces were divided very unevenly and the whole German movement, while at face value seemingly sensible, falls apart as reasonable exercise upon closer inspection.

tbh the Hitlerian Camp when looking at it from the future was the most sensible plan but the Halderian Camp was so High IQ it didnt learn anything from Napoleons Campaign in Russia
