Some Gommie states weren't that bad in terms of religion and culture

2018-12-18 11:18:23 UTC

@aymem you can actually have strong culture based on ideological concepts, religion was in my view proto-ideology; Nietzsche was right in that ideology will in due time replace the function of religion in society

2018-12-18 11:18:28 UTC

Look at East Germany for example

2018-12-18 11:18:51 UTC

most commie states accumulated very strong culture

2018-12-18 11:18:54 UTC

Sure the state promoted Atheism, but it didn't crack down too hard on the Protestant population

2018-12-18 11:19:08 UTC

several books are written on the topic of Soviet culture alone

2018-12-18 11:19:19 UTC

my point is that both capitalism and communism ignore culture, one pretty much destroys it (or exploits it) and the other just ignores it as being gay

2018-12-18 11:19:33 UTC

and i'm talking about culture culture as in idk...

2018-12-18 11:19:39 UTC

from Soviet architecture to socialist realist art, Soviet cinema, literature, Soviet science fiction; the culture of parades and mass festivals to the rest of it

2018-12-18 11:19:40 UTC

uhh

2018-12-18 11:19:41 UTC

Four, there's always fascism and Integralism

2018-12-18 11:19:44 UTC

I'm tyring to think of the word

2018-12-18 11:19:46 UTC

fascism is gay

2018-12-18 11:19:47 UTC

af

2018-12-18 11:19:53 UTC

T. Commie

2018-12-18 11:20:01 UTC

Integralism is for huehue's

2018-12-18 11:20:03 UTC

^

2018-12-18 11:20:07 UTC

not for real people

2018-12-18 11:20:10 UTC

@ImATomato Problem with Fascism is that it confuses nationalism with cultural preservation

2018-12-18 11:20:12 UTC

and admiration

2018-12-18 11:20:38 UTC

it also doesn't expand itself into any kind of economic analysis

2018-12-18 11:20:41 UTC

which is a problem

2018-12-18 11:21:05 UTC

it goes only so far as to critique laissez faire capitalism, pretty much it

2018-12-18 11:21:15 UTC

yes

2018-12-18 11:21:20 UTC

Fascism died very early in it's youth so theres that

2018-12-18 11:21:50 UTC

well i mean that's kinda lame as an excuse, considering that it begun to take shape in first decade of 1900s, meaning it had at least 40 years to come up with something worthwhile

2018-12-18 11:22:07 UTC

Marx and Engels in 40 years authored thousands of pages of hard theory that would stay relevant for two centuries

2018-12-18 11:22:49 UTC

I also think that bourgeois theoreticians came up with more stuff in their first 40 years

2018-12-18 11:23:01 UTC

and again, this is by design

2018-12-18 11:23:13 UTC

Fascism didn't accumulate theory because it resented it

2018-12-18 11:23:21 UTC

it was much more about action than thinking

2018-12-18 11:24:10 UTC

And to be fair, Fascism was able to spread very fast because its adherents were effective in waging action in service of their ideology

2018-12-18 11:27:27 UTC

Yes fascism was always more concerned with social aspects rather than economic, I'll give you that.

2018-12-18 11:28:05 UTC

Mhm

2018-12-18 11:28:35 UTC

Most fascists I've met don't really bother to talk about Fascist economics, as they see it as hardly important

2018-12-18 11:30:13 UTC

what else is there to talk about, protect your product and don't allow other countries to undercut ur own product in ur own country

2018-12-18 11:30:27 UTC

Total Autarky is a meme

2018-12-18 11:30:30 UTC

its pretty funny, considering how economics and politics are joined at the hip

2018-12-18 11:30:34 UTC

do you want me to invite you to a server to talk to a guy who is rly into fascist economics? @Spookaswa

2018-12-18 11:30:39 UTC

Eh

2018-12-18 11:30:42 UTC

Sure why not
