He considered Christianity to be "an extension of the Jewish faith"

2018-12-21 07:27:29 UTC

Look,

2018-12-21 07:27:39 UTC

a position which he held in private but never made public

2018-12-21 07:27:41 UTC

socialism emerged as the theory of society which is based around social ownership by the workers

2018-12-21 07:27:44 UTC

you can't just take that,

2018-12-21 07:27:47 UTC

and redefine it,

2018-12-21 07:27:51 UTC

and call it "German socialism"

2018-12-21 07:27:55 UTC

@Space Bird destroyed

2018-12-21 07:27:59 UTC

with facts

2018-12-21 07:28:00 UTC

and logic

2018-12-21 07:28:09 UTC

that's like taking capitalism and defining it as anti private property all the sudden

2018-12-21 07:28:11 UTC

it doesn't make any sense

2018-12-21 07:28:12 UTC

ok, now are we talking corporations, or small businesses, i think thats the important difference

2018-12-21 07:28:26 UTC

with socialism

2018-12-21 07:28:42 UTC

i'm all for a corporative state, worker's councils etc

2018-12-21 07:28:54 UTC

socialism = worker ownership of the bloody means of labour

no corporations, no

2018-12-21 07:29:09 UTC

this isn't something invented by Marx either

2018-12-21 07:29:16 UTC

this was present in the work of the Utopian Socialists already

2018-12-21 07:29:29 UTC

Proudhon, Saint-Simon, d'Hupay, Owen, etc.

2018-12-21 07:29:37 UTC

"German Socialism" is a non-term

2018-12-21 07:29:41 UTC

it doesn't denote anything

2018-12-21 07:29:56 UTC

other than possibly Strasserism

2018-12-21 07:29:56 UTC

🤷 mabe
but i guess its all semantics

2018-12-21 07:30:13 UTC

no these are actual terms that are used by economists, political scientists etc.

2018-12-21 07:30:15 UTC

they do matter

2018-12-21 07:30:54 UTC

sure. but its important to differentiate between natsoc and original soc i suppose

2018-12-21 07:32:05 UTC

natsoc isn't really socialism

2018-12-21 07:32:11 UTC

if by that is meant Hitlerism

2018-12-21 07:32:17 UTC

if Strasserism then it is

2018-12-21 07:32:31 UTC

I think its important to understand that Hitler was a dishonest actor

2018-12-21 07:32:47 UTC

I think its important to understand that Hitler did nothing wrong

2018-12-21 07:33:03 UTC

the other interpretation is that Hitler was an idiot who did not understand the terms he used

2018-12-21 07:33:08 UTC

I prefer the former interpretation though

2018-12-21 07:33:13 UTC

that he was dishonest

2018-12-21 07:33:33 UTC

that he was trying to woo the supporters of KPD and SPD

2018-12-21 07:33:36 UTC

and it did work indeed

2018-12-21 07:40:37 UTC

i wouldn't say he was dishonest
but yeah, the use of red, using socialism in the name, he was trying to gain leftist support which was brewing with the rise of the communists,
mixed with the violence caused by the communists, the fact that 10-11 of the 15 leaders of the german communist uprising were jewish, was a perfect storm for hitler to rise to power,
also with the decadence of weimar and the starving people, many of whom prostituted themselves

2018-12-21 07:42:48 UTC

or actually, i wouldn't say leftist support, but that did help
but rather people leaning towards the left, who wanted solutions to their crisis
And hitler saw what was happening in the ussr, etc etc and didn't want that, so he stepped in

2018-12-21 07:44:13 UTC

I'm glad the night of the long knives happened

2018-12-21 07:44:17 UTC

yes so he was misleading people then 😄

2018-12-21 07:44:19 UTC

come on
