The trouble with acceleration is sometimes the collapse of society doesn't make room for a better one to rise from the ashes. Sometimes it just collapses for good.

One must wonder if we're having this much trouble organizing, operating, and fighting our enemies in this system, how we could somehow survive a collapse and emerge as the new dominant force?
