Seems like the losing proposition
oh no, I'm completely against this IQ Communism 😄
i realise everyone plays their part
you need the average IQ people in a society
You won't stop this at all, no chance in hell, you can only hope to *guide the technological trajectory and the trajectory of applications*
you literally won't be able to combat the transhumanists with some lame status quo policy
that will not happen
there's too much hype
now you're resorting to an argument from inevitablility instead of stating how this is actually a positive thing.
at least my viewpoint allows that we stay humans, we remain largely as we are, we will become better in many aspects but humans after 100 years will live largely as they have hitherto
and about that, i might actually agree with you.. it might well be an inevitablility
yeah but I'm not going to be defeatist about this, fuck that, I spent too much time on that already
you can always choose to see the positives and ignore the negatives to create a rosy picture and have peace of mind
You have literally no alternative to offer, beyond defeatism
I say that defeats your argument on its own
I can point to a problem whilst not having a solution, yet..
pointing to the problem is still useful mate.
I am not sure that there exists a problem, if you mean by "problem" some kind of inevitable spiralling into AI dictatorship because we use nootropics and gene-editing....
not sure why this needs to be
It's not an AI Dictatorship, anyway..
Well you know what I mean
i think you have enough to think about from this, nobody changes their mind on the first go lol
where dumb humans have no problem with it
despite you and me and I think most people here already having evident problem with it
there is enough detatchment from the origin of the product and enough benefits that people won't care about the AI part..
AI part would be just like a warning you find on Cig Boxes
People like seeing themselves, and people they care about, engaged in impacting society. People do not enjoy some thing that has no connection to themselves, or people they care about, determining the future of the species. And why would they?
There's no reason to think this will happen
We must take precaution against it, of course
but there's fairly good chance that hammering the point that "if we aren't in control of our own species future, we don't have one" across will yield results
mostly because as an argument its *demonstrably true*
this is literally a topic of *sci fi dystopia novels*
people understand that this is not desirable
its been a STAPLE of such genres for decades
If you're actually interested in this and since a big part of your ideology seems to rest on this, you should read the Revolutionary Phenotype.
Not a big part of my ideology rests on this, the main concern is that people aren't going to be in control of the technology that displaces them and we'll end up in another kind of dystopia
There's no real non-communist approach to problems of automation and use of machine intelligence in economics. But this IQ stuff does very well as a matter of fact coincide with my ideology, so I have adopted it as well
anyway I need bloody sleep
signing off
"Revolutionary phenotype"
Jf shills begone!
