Funny that you would reference Plato, who of course was no Christian
Like going to war with North Korea would be justifiable
this is the reason why I know you are trolling Crow
@Xinyue Faith in scientific theories until proven otherwise is literally based in neo-platonist christian thought
What
its literally secular sola fide
This theory must be true in every sense period until proven otherwise
Out of Africa theory for example
used for years in textbooks
This is not based in Christian thinking. Christianity demands faith in the *unproven*
The entire argument by atheists shouting that religion is anti-science is so obliterated by now, I don't even feel like doing it
Christianity is categorically an unempirical religion
Cadavers are found and dated earlier than african ones outside of africa
boom out of africa theory gone
CrowGoCaw are you some creationist?
No
Thank God.
You know as well as I do that Abrahamic religions, or most religions *in general,* do not entertain empirical study of the world and *faith on basis of evidence* as the standard for *faith in X, Y or Z*
this is pure retardation on your part, perhaps the most desperate and pathetic defense of Christianity yet seen by me
have you like read the Bible from beginning to the end?
i have
I have
but I forgot most of it
@The Big Oof your thoughts on this, o Peronian?
ching chong, u need this book
personally, i couldn't care less if god was real or not its of no importance to me as a mortal. my issue is your extreme faith in things that are just as valid as ghost stories
If we accept Christianity to emerge from the Bible primarily, it most certainly isn't so. Now, what a bunch of Catholics and other church fathers cooked up knowing that the plebs can't read the book anyway to confirm whether or not their inventions correlate with the foundational text, doesn't matter.
Sure, from the *institutions* new thought arose, but the institutions are not Bible. And, the break away from Bible that was represented by some of the pioneering monks and such only work to testify against the ridiculousness of the big book itself.
Christianity didn't emerge from the bible the bible emerged from Christianity
My extreme faith? In what?
The institution, the Church; made the bible.
in secular institutions
If God is real why can't Santa be real? #MakeSantaGreatAgain
you treat them the same way a muslim would a mosque
they MUST be right because THEY MUST be empirical
> Christianity didn't emerge from the bible the bible emerged from Christianity
Then it means nothing in the end. In any age, the "Vague Concept X" can be redefined as anything and everything, whatever indeed may be considered convenient in a given time and age.
And so it has morphed, hasn't it? Church I mean. The ultimate nihilist and pointless organisation. It deserves nothing but destruction.
Xinyue, the book i linked you...
Read it.
