I have little opinion on Russia.

Russia is big, but due to the demographics being so... Wierd, it's hard to balkanize it.

I mean, only like 20% of Russia is properly inhabited, - the rest is just forest... Lots of forest...

Most of the tasks that I deem to be necesairly or beneficial for the gov to perform make sense only on a national level... so there aren't many things left for the local authorities to do... maybe some local folclore promotion and some local infrastructure investments/amortization.... yeah maybe it would be a good idea to promote political activity by doing so... outside of that... it would be good if a coutry was big enough not to be overally dependant on other states.... but ofc only if it doesn't leat to multiethnic society.
