Yaaaas

2019-01-11 15:18:55 UTC

Are you Celtic

2019-01-11 15:23:18 UTC

Minimum wage should stay as low as possible.

2019-01-11 15:23:46 UTC

The higher the minimum wage the more inflation. Companies have to pay for the wage increase through price increase on consumer goods.

2019-01-11 15:24:33 UTC

For example in a some states ik the minimum wage is $7. Good, low, helps the economy.

2019-01-11 15:26:36 UTC

2 years ago I was working at mcdonalds and my government raised minimum wage from 10.60 to 12.65/h. This raised the prices at the mcdonalds I had worked at by quite a bit. Meals went from 8.99 plus tax to about 10 plus tax.

2019-01-11 15:29:32 UTC

A truly civilized country doesn't need to have a minumum wage because organisations from civil society/unions and employers will agree on an industry standard for different types of work

2019-01-11 15:29:44 UTC

Thats definitely preferred.

2019-01-11 15:29:59 UTC

As you said. I’m for free market.

2019-01-11 15:33:57 UTC

Holy shit

2019-01-11 15:34:36 UTC

Trudeau is being booed out of almost every public event he does

2019-01-11 15:36:03 UTC

Oh yeah he was.

2019-01-11 15:39:30 UTC

We need to keep minimum wages as low as possible in order to keep consumer prices down, and in order to provide more jobs.

2019-01-11 15:39:43 UTC

^

2019-01-11 15:41:49 UTC

The less people have to spend on workers the more they’ll hire. If it costs $12 an hour to hire a worker you’re sure as hell not gonna hire as many as if it costed $9.

2019-01-11 15:45:27 UTC

No, that employers hire more people if they have to pay their current staff less is not logically connected. It's possible, sure, but it is wishful thinking

2019-01-11 15:45:55 UTC

By logically connected I mean that it does not follow with absoulte certainty
