for example

not by a slight margin

2019-01-17 18:36:12 UTC

by a SIGNIFICANT margin

Globalization occurs because it’s cheaper to make products in Indonesia and pay them 25 cents a day rather than employing Americans and selling higher quality American made products.

2019-01-17 18:36:30 UTC

Their education system isn't really as good as ours

2019-01-17 18:36:32 UTC

Groups with a significant tie to a culture or ethnic group in terms of identity are far less subservient of a group not their own. @Zabriskie

2019-01-17 18:36:39 UTC

They have a lot less opportunities

2019-01-17 18:36:49 UTC

I am personally arguing against discrimination of citizens, not for more immigration. You already have these black people.

2019-01-17 18:36:59 UTC

The economic globalisation comes with political globalisation in terms of the nation.

2019-01-17 18:37:21 UTC

Not just on economic factor.

2019-01-17 18:37:39 UTC

Things outside of a certain topic can have an affect on another.

2019-01-17 18:38:27 UTC

I'm not arguing for it either

2019-01-17 18:38:38 UTC

It's just an inevitability

2019-01-17 18:38:48 UTC

Oh you’re relating to isolationism vs internationalism then

2019-01-17 18:38:52 UTC

It's part of a multi-racial society

2019-01-17 18:38:53 UTC

Well more autarky then isolation

2019-01-17 18:38:57 UTC

What is an inevitability? @The Big Oof

2019-01-17 18:39:39 UTC

@Zabriskie
You're relating to economic terms and autarky I thought?

2019-01-17 18:39:48 UTC

No

2019-01-17 18:39:58 UTC

When you brought up labor prices I assumed so.

2019-01-17 18:40:16 UTC

When you said Globalization my mind went to economics but you were talking about it in a political sense and I didn’t pick up on that until you said so

2019-01-17 18:40:16 UTC

@King Leopold II Discrimination

2019-01-17 18:40:22 UTC

It's just going to happen

2019-01-17 18:40:39 UTC

@Zabriskie Economic and political sense really go hand in hand.

2019-01-17 18:40:50 UTC

Unity of races has nothing to do with economic globalization though

2019-01-17 18:41:04 UTC

Economic globalisation can bring it about

2019-01-17 18:41:07 UTC

Political globalization can influence economic globalization but not the other way around

2019-01-17 18:41:33 UTC

Well actually let me rephrase

2019-01-17 18:42:11 UTC

The factors of political globalization can impact economic globalization but economic globalization cannot be impacted by the factors of political globalization

2019-01-17 18:42:20 UTC

As labor prices of other groups can be cheaper as well as a larger population leading to the reduction of the cost of labor many pro-globalisation would be in favor of importing foreigners.

2019-01-17 18:42:36 UTC

I’m not pro globalization in any way

2019-01-17 18:42:52 UTC

Therefore economic globalisation can increase chances of political globalisation.

2019-01-17 18:44:39 UTC

I want immigrants to immigrate legally to work in American business places to contribute to the American economy and sell American made products. But I don’t believe that your claim is true, simply because wage is first and foremost based on economic factors, so immigrants coming into the US are going to be paid a lot more than if a company were to pack up and open shop in India.

2019-01-17 18:45:49 UTC

Wage can be based off of demographic factors, landmass and resources never increase, however as population does so does the vast labor pool. Decreasing the price of labor.

2019-01-17 18:46:12 UTC

It has to do with the factors of supply and demand, that’s what sets wages and prices. Sure immigrants can be paid less but that’s only because they accept less money, and in the United States it’s no longer a substantial difference, unless we’re talking jobs in construction or other basic no-skilled jobs, which cannot be globalized.

Immigration is a factor in growing population, at immense rates creating a population not coming here to establish their own businesses but rather be employed at ones in the state already. Without the creation of new spots for labor and the increase of population the value of labor is devalued.

2019-01-17 18:47:54 UTC

You should have read that link with a lot moar detail Kaz

2019-01-17 18:48:50 UTC

I can also tell you why the difference becomes greater with age... and that it will become even greater when those children fly out of the nest

2019-01-17 18:49:12 UTC

(a) putative genetic racial differences do not account for a major portion of the IQ performance difference between racial groups =/= there are no genetic differences.

2019-01-17 18:49:31 UTC

You are correct that as the population increases, labor prices decrease because as more people come in needing work, there’s less of a demand for workers, but only in lower tier unskilled work, so immigrants that come in and study to become doctors or scientists will still be highly demanded, and as skill level increases, those are the jobs that get shipped out of the country along with the factory workers. So it’s a small amount of lower tier workers in factories only because they make the goods, but a large majority of occupations leaving are higher in the skill chain, like doctors, because of the medical innovations in France, for example. Doctors are leaving for France to make more money and learn modern methods of medicine.
