i'd rather just legalize all the drugs. Effect would actually be to eliminate the profit margins of the drugdealers/gangs and actually reduce drug usage. Prohibition never works.
countless examples of prohibition failing, and now the profits will be higher than ever for selling the drugs, and the hardest of the hard murderers will have no problem killing witnesses to avoid going to jail/getting the death penalty
