Trust is something that always should be earned, but at some point you have to take a risk here and there.
Personally feel like I'm starting to become a bit more open with people. Not open to where I'll tell anybody anything but enough to give people a sense of what I'm like
Still need to experiment more on social skills tho
It depends a lot on how much work you put into you
Probably will if my car gets back up and running
if you put a lot in: you'll be comfortable enough defending yourself that it won't matter what others think
Here's hoping
Still surprised i was able to hold a convo while getting my hair cut a while ago
Guess I'm learning
i still have no idea how to do small talk
Small talk bores me.
Try finding a common topic
i usually wait for the other person to start the ball rolling and just ramble absent mindedly on auo pilo through most of those conversations
But I rarely get to do anything aside from small talk.
otherwise i'm likely to diverage into some heavier shit and they're more than likely not going to have a good ime with that
time*
Usually a simple, hows you're day been gets it going
Listen to what theyre saying and try ti see if a convo can start from there
pretty much
I
keyboard fuck
Kek
*To help me keep my mind clear when it comes to small talk, I like to imagine there's like.. elevator music playing in the background
having your focus split on something helps
kinda why I liked washing dishes when I did that. always had something menial to focus on.
I don't know if it's just me, but I feel like I notice or see too much into someone when I look at them. I'm pretty good at reading people, and most of the time i just don't want all of that in my head.
Noticed i try to find something of common ground or intrest. Just enough to sorta get a view on a persons personality
have to be comfortable with someone to turn that off
Like the two girls i talked to at cvs one time or another girl at walmart
Girl from walm came across as energetic, one brunette at cvs gave off a mature vibe, while a blonde from cvs gave off kinda a tired vibe
And it's all from how things were going at work too
Picking up on queues like that is good, means youre not an aspie so thats a good sign. I can still be awkward sometimes so if I don't have anything to say with small talk I just ask the other person a question thats relevant, or tey to break the ice by making them laugh
Everyone at work thinks I'm an innocent little girl and gets shocked when I curse
The innocent looking ones seldom are
One of the chefs on the line mocked my "nice girl" voice today and I gave him a venomous look and he shut up lol
Feel like people think i might be judgemental because of how my resting face is. But if they heard me talk they'd probably go "oh this kids just a fucking nerd"
I have to kinda have a sorta smirk/soft smile on my face, because my resting face always gets a "ARE YOU OK, WHY ARE YOU SAD I HOPE YOU'RE OK" response lol
Haha I had a female manager say she thought I was a boyscout after I told her a joke about getting a "Pull out king" tattoo. She started hitting on me a lot after that. At least I got away with a bunch of shit she should have coached me for lol
I just try to hide myself, I prefer most people not remember me, but the ones I talk to end up being pretty close after they kinda see how I am.
I think it really helps to know what you're into
