In terms of being portable direct and indirect fire support within 500 meters, they're also better than things like the M79 just for not having to hump some heavy ass break action around.

And yeah modern rifle nades are more retard proof. Thumpers aren't that bad Swamp but the 203 is lighter
As for it being on your rifle, that's fair as a downside.
Also thumpers are easier to aim

M79 fills the same roll as the 320 BUT it cant be used underbarrel, thus causing you to have to produce 2 systems instead of 1 for both roles
But the 320 is shit at both roles.
