the
Knowing FW they've probably abused the shit out of their molds and they don't want to splash out for replacements
variable leadership etc
tbh ive always liked that FW provided some full, more flavor focused armies to the game, and its sad that they are dropping them
though I guess not that many people would be buying them anyway after the recent price hike
fingers crossed GW do their own Renegade rules
since they already did that with traitor Knights
yeah but the GW traitor knight rules arnt as in depth as the FW ones where they?
but then again that was just to push $200 models
sort of yes, sort of no
also its basically rules to use an existing model in a different army
FW gave the option of Daemon Knights which are full-blown possessed, as well as traitor versions of their chassis
I guess renegades and heretics could be used by GW to get Chaos players to buy guard models and upgrade sprues, but there are some units they'd have to make new
actually the Guard models/upgrade sprue idea isnt too bad, they already did that with genestealer cults
thing is the reason you want them is kinda obvious
they're "fun" on their own but we just want soup like the corpsefuckers
didnt the recent FAQ ban soup list from battleforged in Tourney games?
no
they did offer genestealer upgrade kits for the cadian kit
so
what did it do then because when I read that rule thats what I got out of it
it just made it so you HAD to keep a single keyword for each detatchment
so if you want SM/IG soup, you need a full detatchment of each
which everyone was doing ANYWAY to keep the regiment/chapter/etc special rules
I thought it said though that Imperium, chaos, and aeldari didnt count for the rule
that was for within each Detachment
OH
ok
so only within each detachment, ok I get it now
although I still feel like this gimps an already crippled Ynnari
then again they were pretty OP from power creep last edition so I guess I cant complain too much
eh honestly it just makes it harder to spam the core Detatchments for a tidal wave of CP
still waiting on the codex...
and none of the Eldar armies have anything that could be truly considered a "tax" unit
I mean the point of Ynnari in my eyes was that units from different eldar factions can patch holes in each others armies while loosing faction rules for Strength from death
thats true as well though, its hard to find an Eldar unit that can be considered "Bad"
so the only real disadvantage is you'll have less CP to play with because you'll likely take a Drukhari contingent in a Fast Attack detatchment for example
thats true, and I've never really taken advantage of CP that much anyway
I'm actually considering taking R&H in a Fast Attack detatchment with Salamanders and Armoured Sentinels for some cheap fire support for my Iron Warriors
how are you getting away with Imperial and chaos in the same list?
