@AVRO Architect So you have some detailed experience with gangs?

2019-03-09 10:16:13 UTC

the military has MANY mechanisms inplace to keep them from being changed

2019-03-09 10:16:27 UTC

You know they have gang members in the US military?

2019-03-09 10:16:30 UTC

no I have detailed experience with the military

2019-03-09 10:17:33 UTC

How about you tell us why you think they're both gangs

2019-03-09 10:17:38 UTC

I've already given my reasons

2019-03-09 10:17:45 UTC

the criminal problem is something they have to deal with, the US military doesn't exactly have the highest moral standards in the world ( barring the marines, those SOBs are nuts)

2019-03-09 10:17:48 UTC

@AVRO Architect I know about the unvillingless of the military to change. I know quite a few ex and current military people, mainly US byt the way

2019-03-09 10:17:53 UTC

The military is a fundamentally different operation

2019-03-09 10:18:37 UTC

Neither do gangs, so what?

2019-03-09 10:18:55 UTC

You might as well say the police force are gangs

2019-03-09 10:19:05 UTC

You'd be closer then saying the military is

2019-03-09 10:19:17 UTC

@Whats gay anymore agreed fundamentally different operation, culture, rule set, mind set, and is often misunderstood

2019-03-09 10:19:31 UTC

Yeah I can't see a single connection to a gang

2019-03-09 10:19:52 UTC

I've seen police forces that are more gang like than the military

2019-03-09 10:19:57 UTC

Exactly

2019-03-09 10:20:08 UTC

If you wanted a good analogy go with the cops

2019-03-09 10:20:09 UTC

is this the definition of fundamentally uou use?:
Fundamentalism usually has a religious connotation that indicates unwavering attachment to a set of irreducible beliefs.

2019-03-09 10:20:21 UTC

No it's not

2019-03-09 10:20:23 UTC

besides you can't prove a negative

2019-03-09 10:20:38 UTC

fundamentalism is different from fundamental

2019-03-09 10:21:07 UTC

base principles, first principles are a better term for it

2019-03-09 10:21:08 UTC

@Whats gay anymore Ok, please define fundamental

2019-03-09 10:21:17 UTC

I know you have google

2019-03-09 10:21:23 UTC

I'm not here to define things for you

2019-03-09 10:21:31 UTC

When you can't even argue your point

2019-03-09 10:21:43 UTC

I don't use google by the way

2019-03-09 10:21:59 UTC

Ask jeeves for kids then

2019-03-09 10:22:24 UTC

I am not familar with the definition of 'fundamental' that you use, please enlighten me

2019-03-09 10:22:45 UTC

fun·da·men·tal
/ˌfəndəˈmen(t)əl/
adjective

1.
forming a necessary base or core; of central importance:
"the protection of fundamental human rights"

affecting or relating to the essential nature of something or the crucial point about an issue:

1.
a central or primary rule or principle on which something is based:
"two courses cover the fundamentals of microbiology"

2019-03-09 10:23:12 UTC

And now you know

2019-03-09 10:23:21 UTC

+1 learning

2019-03-09 10:24:02 UTC

@AVRO Architect I agree with you that the police is more gang-like than the military

2019-03-09 10:24:41 UTC

My I get the source of that definition?

2019-03-09 10:24:42 UTC

they can be, it's more the quality of the people that make up the force than the base structure or purpose

2019-03-09 10:25:03 UTC

... now we gotta peer review our common definitions

2019-03-09 10:25:09 UTC

its a cropped version from the Oxford dictionary

2019-03-09 10:26:01 UTC

You're yet to tell us why they're the same by the way

2019-03-09 10:26:13 UTC

i'd link it but the bot won't let me

2019-03-09 10:26:15 UTC

You just keep claiming it

2019-03-09 10:26:20 UTC

Nope you don't have to peer review your definitions, it is more for my part to get the exact meaning of words used
