2018-06-08 03:32:24 UTC

Well, not every boomer is a boomer if you know what I mean.

2018-06-08 13:47:32 UTC

@Oliver Starley Remember when you said that the Africans are largely free of that furry shit?

2018-06-08 13:47:41 UTC

I'm afraid I have some bad news.

2018-06-08 15:32:41 UTC

What the fuck are they doing now? @ebowden

2018-06-08 15:36:32 UTC

Kenyan man I know just straight up said to me that he wants to fuck Judy Hopps.

2018-06-08 15:36:58 UTC

He didn't even know what a furry was, it is Disney that has done this to him.

2018-06-08 15:37:19 UTC

nice

2018-06-08 15:37:43 UTC

Well, it's inevitable when you think about it.

2018-06-08 15:37:59 UTC

Disney: corrupting the youth into wanting to fuck cartoon animals since 1973

2018-06-08 15:38:01 UTC

Disney is responsible for generating furries in the west, it will do the same over there.

2018-06-08 15:38:15 UTC

@Oliver Starley, the process started way before then.

2018-06-08 15:38:40 UTC

If it wasn't Disney, it would have been someone else.

2018-06-08 15:39:20 UTC

It is a result of the fundamental properties of character design and brand competition.

2018-06-08 15:39:34 UTC

That said, yes, Disney done did it.

2018-06-08 15:39:40 UTC

It was definitely them.

2018-06-08 15:39:51 UTC

Well, Warner bros. too.

2018-06-08 15:40:03 UTC

I doubt TerryToons would have been able to get in on the furry market

2018-06-08 15:40:23 UTC

That's not how it starts.

2018-06-08 15:41:12 UTC

It starts because there's only so much variety in the human species, as creative markets become more crowded it becomes harder and harder to differentiate yourself.

2018-06-08 15:42:18 UTC

Anthropomorphic animals are just vastly superior when it comes to the aesthetic variety you can have, and brand recognition.

2018-06-08 15:42:39 UTC

Their use began very early in the history of animation because of this.

2018-06-08 15:43:36 UTC

You can vastly increase variety without increasing art style complexity, which is bad not just for animation, but character design in general.

2018-06-08 15:44:35 UTC

The exposure to these cartoons, like exposure to pretty much anything, precipitates fetishes, in this case the furry fetish.

2018-06-08 15:44:52 UTC

In short, furries were inevitable and there is no stopping them.

2018-06-08 15:48:04 UTC

We should just bring back ancient Egyptian aesthetics of putting animal heads on people

2018-06-08 15:49:02 UTC

thats just a partial fursuit

2018-06-08 15:49:52 UTC

The moment the DPRK wanes, the furries generated by their decently made and wildly popular, iconic cartoon will come out of the woodwork.

2018-06-08 15:50:45 UTC

Fursuits will just materialise in the towns and cities.

2018-06-08 19:05:32 UTC

The internet is to blame for 99% of furry stuff. Without it, even if someone thinks Minnie Mouse is sexy it's going to be a passing thought before he gets interest in a local girl, gets married, etc.

2018-06-08 19:06:28 UTC

Someone thought Mickey and Minnie were sexy enough to draw a stag film and then Walt fired their asses so hard

2018-06-08 19:06:29 UTC

Fritz The Cat, my dude

2018-06-08 19:08:11 UTC

I would argue both of those were more comedic. Also, is the Mickey Minnie one true, and not an urban legend? I know Harlan Ellison worked for Disney less that an a day because he made sexual jokes about them within ear shot of Walt. Possible it derived from that.

2018-06-08 19:08:54 UTC

Yeah Tiajuana Bibles were a thing, but even the cirtulation of that was relatively low. One of the reasons their considered valuble pieces of antique erotica today.
