Anything else?
I mean, ya. It's not a long book, but there's more in it than I've written here
the problem is that the repentance and belief has to be sincere for it to matter. you can't just use it as a get out of jail free card.
If those are the only 2 then it is my turn to respond.
Yes please respond. That's what I'm waiting on lol
It's still a problematic idea. It's like, i can kill someone but as long as I'm truly sorry, it's ok. That's kinda bizarre, because it's not like your thoughts in your own head are truly making up for the sin you committed
repentance isn't just feeling sorry about it
Pretty much though. You might pray and stuff but it's not like you have to go out into reality and actually address your crime.
1.- We start on this life until we may finally join with God ie: Pure actuality, as such our actions on this life shapes our soul (intelect) which after being free from human emotion will continue on and we will decide to be with him or not. It cannot be nihilistic since it Is very clear our actions matter for the life after.
2.-Even if you repent and are forgiven you will be punished (not as severely as if you had not) we see examples with the prodical son who after wasting all his money lived like a beggar. And also purgatory.
Your actions only matter in that it determines what the afterlife will be. So, it's as if what happens on earth doesn't matter, since this world is temporary.
Does it not matter what grades you have in high school when you are aplying to college?
Rather than excell in this world, the idea is to prepare for the afterlife. So, you can easily cop out of reality. And Christians do. Why try to make the world better when all you need to do is be faithful to Jesus and you'll be saved for eternity?
I'm not trying to convert anyone. Just don't be fags about paganism
Answer the question
Fag
>pagan calling someone else a fag
penis
I said just don't be fags about paganism. Not calling you a fag
And I said answer the question.
the implication that we were being fags about this. i.e. you're calling us fags. I don't mind it, but have the nuts to own up to it
This life Is a crucial step for the hereafter, the great goal. It is like saying high school doesn't matter for getting into college. That is my point.
That's not what I meant but I can see that. I mean don't trash paganism. It's the native culture of Europe and I like it a lot more than the stuff imported from the middle east
I rather chose the true tradition.
How is something imported from the middle east the true tradition of europeans?
Truth is universal, 2+2=4, even TRUE TM euros knew this (Plato, Socrates, etc.) The pagans are if anything more in common with the modern world that anything.
I used to think the Christian afterlife was a good thing because it would make people want to live a certain way, but I'm realizing the implication is really that objective reality doesn't matter as much as personal salvation.
What? Pagans think 2 plus 2 is something other than 4?
We literally believe in objective truth and morality, that you are so drench in the Globohomo is not my problem.
I wasn't saying you don't believe in objective reality. I'm saying you believe salvation is more important.
You would rather have everyone have their own "truth" because that Is the TRUE euro tradition.
Salvation is a goal. There are other goals as well.
Sure, but it's a lot easier to "be saved" than to actually accomplish something.
You have no idea how hard it is to have standards for yourself, for others, "to be saved", do you?
Uh, you just have to think a certain way really. Is it not faith in Jesus as your savior that ultimately makes one saved or not?
No
You have to take action as well.
You're certainly encouraged to. But it's not like there's a score card telling you how you are doing. What's the objective measure? It boils down to someone deluding themselves into believing they are saved.
That's pretty nihilistic.
Heathen morality is based in reality in that actions have consequences and your honor is determined by your actions
