Turns out that gamers lean to the Right: http://www.theesa.com/article/new-study-finds-video-game-players-are-highly-engaged-politically/
fallout 76 gamer moment :)))))))))
@Thomas O'Malley that’s because most gamers are young and grew up during the financial/euro crisis
Roasty fantasizing about racial violence. https://kotaku.com/the-leaked-box-art-for-far-cry-new-dawn-owns-1830916739
I find it very fitting that the villains who want you to "Give us yo' shit," are mannish, disgruntled looking negresses. https://media.comicbook.com/2018/12/far-cry-new-dawn-1149231.jpeg
They could at least make the darkies look somewhat appealing
Anyone here interested in racing games? I mainly use my PS4.
Well, **Trials Rising** is kinda stupid in a few places, the single-player is *sketchy* at best. For example, the silly finishes plus certain movable parts of the sections clash hard against the overall "serious" approach to the game.
Then you have gameplay-related issues, that's not good. You gotta think like if this was the 80s, where you had to slow down on purpose on shit like **Ivan Stewart's Super Offroad** to avoid the AI from becoming insanely fast for certain stuff later on. I never thought I'd see another racing game where I have to slow down on purpose.
I gotta admit I'm kinda disappointed by the overall execution of this game. It's alright as a pick-up-and-play bullshit game and also as a sandbox (track editor) and even a party game (offline multiplayer)... but the single-player career mode was made by a bunch of idiots.
The fat bearded guy, the one that gives you contracts for the BMX bike or the "Donkey" (based after the Honda Monkey), is the creative director in real life, the one that appeared on the E3 conferenced riding a pitbike/minibike. He did a fantastic job with Fusion (the game has a fucking plot and it's amazing) but he has earned a solid F with Rising.
The only thing I've seen that is 100% a nice idea (but they didn't use it enough) was reusing certain stages. Some stages have an easy/medium version, then a hard/extreme version. It's kinda rare, still a solid concept that gives the player a nice feeling of "I'm getting into a bigger league".
Oh, Trials Fusion.
I am trying to find a good FPS to play that has a good single player, that also isn't a shooting gallery simulator
DOOM 2016 and DOOM Eternal are awesome.
I have Doom 2016
I love it
is Doom Eternal out?
cause if that's the case I know what I am doing over spring break
Damn, not sure.
@Grump The Horrible One of the things they do brilliantly, apart from music, is the Characterisation of Doom Guy.
yeah
you not locked in a room with demons, they are locked in a room with doom guy
yeah Doom "4" was a breath of fresh air imo
I might install and play FEAR again
