Harry Potter was at first meant specifically for children but after book #3 the tone changes to a darker one. I believe that the original version was just meant to satirize elite schools in UK but seeing as the series got more popular and licensed it was made into "a real" fantasy. The reason why lefties use the series in their political commentary is because the author J.K.Rowling checks every "twitter blue checkmark liberal"-box under the sun. @Thomas O'Malley

Harry Potter is fine. J.K. Rowling is a genius at world building, someone having nutty political or religious beliefs doesn't necessarily make them a bad author. That said, if you enjoy what an author makes you probably shouldn't follow them on twitter.

If Tolkien was alive today of course I'd follow him on Twitter.

I don't like Mark Dice. For some reason i found his voice very annoying. @REEDSEEJBAMBAM He's talking too fast and with too much intensity (almost shouting all the time) so it seems fake to me
