This guy had never even BEEN to vietnam.
lolllllllllllllll
The only thing more amazing than the human brain is all the horrible things that can go wrong with it.
>tfw your also a 29 year old vietnam vets as well in 2018
At least he wasn't some stolen valor guy. He really thought he'd beenn in vietnam.
That would actually be a good supporting character for a movie/tv show.
so he was mentally ill or dissatisfaction
he thought he was a real vet
There's one younger guy comiserating with a bunch of Vietnam vets about their experiences. Someone pulls one of them aside and asks what's up with that one guy who's a good 30 years younger than everyone else, and obviously lying. The guys explains to him the guy isn't lying *per se* He genuinely believes he is a Vietnam Vet since a car accident.
holy shit thats epic
So they let him hang out. Especially since he then only one who's back/knees aren't messed up.
Bleah
Ok
Ready for my doomsday prophecy for how the ruinous powers will eventually destory anime and manga?
drop it sonnn
Ok this is gonna be on the long side.
Let's start with American superhero comics. We'll get to the anime eventually.
Superman was created in 1938. While hollywood had a relationship with the character since the beginning, it took them until 1976 to really, really nail it hard.
ok super man got it
Sorry 1978. That's forty years.
That's another eleven years.
After that they *still* had a ton of trouble translating comics to film. Which doesn't make much sense. You could Literally use a comic book as a storyboard.
and at least part of a script.
true
But they kept plugging away trying to crack that nut. there were some successes (Blade, Spider-Man) but Marvel themselves eventually nailed it so Hard with Iron Man that Disney bought them.
Since then, marvel at least has been cranking it out.
So it took from 1938 to 2008 to really perfect superhero movies. Now it's a major part of the Hollywood landscape. Huge moneymaker.
Now I have to ask you a terrible question. Are you Familiar with Bob Chipman?
yeap
That will save us some time. Watch this (cancer warning) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pmXA08jzUfc
Just as an aside let's take a moment to reflect that we live in a world where Bob Chipman Is still alive. but total busicut got butt cancer so bad it turned him into an SJW before it killed him
Darkest freakin' timeline.
But I don't think Bob is wrong about marvel's long term game plan.
which is what
Despite Japanese comics doing gangbusters in their home market and aborad. The folks working marvel probably think print media is drying. So their long term plan is movies.
This is probably brought on by the idea that their *woke* ideas can't be failing on their own merits.
So it's just gotta be the media is dying. So movies are the future. They gotta plan for the futre. In their minds that means they've gotta futureproof it.
That means "diversifying" their stuff so they have a BK Kids club to replace their aging actors.
You can actually see what they would consider a success in how much money Black Panther made.
But here's the thing
