@Bill there is one engine in 1957 that would do great in an old 57 fury, the hemi 392 which was used in the 57 chrysler 300 c, its a racing engine compatible with the torqueflite 3 speed pushbutton automatic transmission and it was the strongest and fastest engine att

the chrysler 300 could reach top speed of 135 mph with that engine

and i actually take back what i said about the 426 not fitting in an old fury, there is one dude i know of in the golden fin society that has a purple 1958 plymouth fury with a 426 hemi

i just prefer the 57 392 hemi not only is it authentic but it also has that genuine 50s rumbling noise
