Plus, if you play your cards right, you can lock down some chill swing or night security gig while you study. That's money and a place to sit and study while no one bothers you and you have few distractions.

i am only going to study cs because i need to get out - if i could live on my own without having to go to uni i would invest 2 years into learning for free online and then apply for jobs

It is not as though they out right say that I need to get my ass out of the house quickly, but I can still tell from the hints that they give to me that they would much rather I be living somewhere else rather than with them while I am doing College.

People don't respect security. Management tends to treat you like an imbecile. And the average IQ is 97 and I'm almost 3 standard deviations above that. It's straight up oppressive to me.
