Which isn't dependable, yeah, but most don't think about choosing to go to a desert; less humans, better chance at survival as your biggest threat will be other humans.
Right
and it might be hard to find a reliable way to keep a fire going so you can boil water
If I could get enough fuel I'd consider it, I could distill salt water if I can get to the ocean
Though, an electric rig with a means to take the water out of the air or some way to dig deep enough to find water might be a good idea if it's an option.
I'd like another 4 years to prepare tbh anything before that and I'm in the shit
The former is likely not given water in the air is so low it's useless in a desert. But it's an idea.
Best thing you can do is get out of the city before it goes down
I'm in a small town with the nearest larger city being several miles out. So i'm good on that.
I'm in a large city
Rip.
ya if you could pull long term mobile ocean survival you would really be set
I do have a boat but long term I don't think it's an option
the closest big city is 8 hours away
Oh yeah that would be great, if i had the option i would love to hang out in the ocean in a huge ship. Independant rigging/utilities plus internet via satelite. That would be great. Only downsides is my health problems. One of which likely would spell my death if i ever stayed on deck while the sun's out. Lol.
I live close to a desert, one with a large river as well. Not saying my odds would be great, but better than many perhaps.
lol might make life a bit rough
Yeah boat life probably isn't for you
What time zones are you guys in? Early morning?
Me? I'm nocturnal and it's like 3 AM here.
1am
Ah. 2am here.
Ah, well i guess we're all gonna be up for awhile. Lol.
uhhh pefffttpeff pefffffefef
7pm
Wasn't sure if we had any UK guys.
I'm American. Haha.
Same. Was just curious
Glad i ain't in UK to be honest, or anywhere over there. Looks pretty derped over there.
Cool, west coast or east? I'm more to the east side, though it's several hours to the shore here. Lol.
West. Idaho
Oh cool. Is Idaho a nice place..? I think that one's known for their potatoes. Mmm...Potatoes.
yeah very lax gun laws
Idaho is a pain to navigate thu
It is very nice. We experience all four seasons here pretty consistently. Temperatures in fall/spring are great. People's attitudes here are pretty relaxed compared to elsewhere
its all those potatoes
Probably
Sounds like a place i would like to be. Here the summers are harsh, the winters aren't brutal enough and i'm out of place because everyone has told me i have a nothern accent despite never being further north than the scar from the old civil war on the map. Lol.
And Idaho is currently the fastest growing state in the US. It will likely look very different a decade from now.
Yeah
Cool. Is this a good thing to you or a bad thing?
